    EUR/USD Analysis

It's been a full month since my last analysis and two weeks since my last trading day, so I figure this is a good time to pick this thread back up. I would like to make this strictly longer term however to save me time, so now I'll only be doing daily and higher tfs. First things first...

    EUR/USD Analysis

I'd like to make a another post soon, but did that continuing rally come out of nowhere or what? ;) Based on my earlier posts, seems like I just needed to refine my timing a bit (which I have been working on lately).

    Greg's Forex Journal

As it stands... I execute through Oanda and use their charts, but TOS if you've seen them lately they have so much better charts. TOS has monthly, weekly, 4 day, 3 day, 2 day, 4 hr, 2 hr, 20 min, 10 min, all of which Oanda doesn't have (and many others, that's just what I can think of...

What did I do wrong in this chart?

A 30 second fx chart alone is DEFINITELY enough to laugh at. I suggest you throw out everything you think you know about the ES, because this isn't the ES. Best of luck to you. Greg

    Greg's Forex Journal

Just added this in my trading rules and thought I'd share: The focus of trading is on having the best and most efficient expected outcome per trade (based on R:R and probability of success) as it relates to total profit, drawdowns, and factors like emotion that may impact trading execution...

    Inspirational Quotes

Since we are posting videos, this is probably my favorite movie scene of all time, and a very unimaginative person can adapt these concepts to trading, life, etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9426lT0RHTo&feature=related

Does anyone know where I can get the Elliott Wave Principle (Frost/Prechter) ebook?

I have a hard copy, but I do a lot of work with images on my computer (I put them into an image and randomize them in my screensaver so I can learn and memorize them over time). This would save me several hours of scanning, and I haven't turned anything up yet. Thanks!

    Greg's Forex Journal

Haven't posted much lately. Feel free to comment or ask questions, but I probably won't update much. In the past few months, I've been quite profitable and have moved from paper trading (0.5% risk per trade) to live (0.5% risk per trade) and just recently moved my risk up to 1% in the past...

who is still profitable in the forex?

Hahahaha! I love when people believe that bullsh** It just means I can get in before you :D Mounafia, I might suggest you tighten your risks a bit (my trading rules don't allow three straight losing sessions). As for your strategy, you might want to take a break for a while to...

“An Entire Generation May Now Look At The Stock Market As A Losing Proposition."

I think you missed my point. I hardly see how any of the scams were any different than anything we've seen in the past - that's why there have always been waves of regulations on U.S. equities and industry. Now won't be any different, except it was done on a larger scale. Think of the...

“An Entire Generation May Now Look At The Stock Market As A Losing Proposition."

Do you mean the next generation of investors won't throw money at anything that makes the news? How can we live in a world where people are careful with their money?! Hopefully things will return to normal eventually... I think my generation will look back on this and say, "I remember...

mentally getting over missed trades you were in

The market will expose and exploit all your mental weaknesses, specifically emotions, instincts, and any flaws in your rationality. You have to remember that the market is a competition among human participants. The only way to win is to either have or work to attain the qualities (edges)...

Why traders keep trading after blowing-up 50%+ of their account?

Desperation. The mind naturally puts up a wall against admitting failure. That's my guess.

    SPY Daily + Weekly chart

I don't pretend to know. All I'm saying is that, for example, some of the best money managers in the world during the 1990s and early 2000s lost their money shorting tech stocks when they were too high, and went out of business (Soros) before the bubble burst (and of course they were right in...

    Do Trendlines work?

I understand a good bit about trendlines, I just think they have a lot of limitations. I'll keep quiet and observe the thread for a while though since I haven't kept up with it, unless people have questions.

    SPY Daily + Weekly chart

I don't use those indicators, but I'd just say never sell until you get a clear signal, unless you feel like running in front of a freight train.

    Do Trendlines work?

Let me contradict myself though and show one that worked great. -- To this day, probably the best TL I've ever seen. Ignore the blurb, it was just something for me to remember.

    Do Trendlines work?

I haven't really kept up with the thread but I'd thought I'd say something here. I think trendlines are far less useful than regular bar and price action signals. They can definitely work their magic at times, but one of the problems is that I find they need a lot of adjustment and can't...

CA Governor Schwarzenegger Looks to Illegal Drugs for Tax Revenue

Didn't anyone see the CNBC special on pot in a few counties in California? It's a HUGE part of their economy in some places. Medicinal is legal there and all the Feds can do is try to scare people here and there. The licenses to smoke it are supposed to be easy to get too.
