What should I do? Losing lots of money!

If you mean to say you can't profit from random data and from black swans you didn't understand Fooled by Randomness.

Watch for 50% retracement in the S&P

With fading you mean buying on a pullback or selling into a rally? I think the problem with that is: In a huge move you often won't get in because there is no pullback or rally. On the other hand when the trend breaks you get in for sure only it is at the wrong side.

Watch for 50% retracement in the S&P

I think it means: be short when it goes down and be long when it goes up. Don't be short before it goes down and don't be long before it goes up. A lot of traders think they need to predict in order to make money.

    Any Traders in Thailand?

I live in Chiangmai in the North and am quite often in Ko Samui in the South as well.

    Forex is a scam

I would say cocky-ness, arrogance, a strong convincing personality might help you in business in general. But also here, as so often, what is useful in normal life, doesn't help you a bit in trading. Markets are never impressed by cocky-ness, loud personalities. They sweep you away just as...

    Are you a remote trader

Ah, your explanation of what a remote trader is made me vote also now. Though I imagined that it meant trading from home with your own money I was not 100% sure.

"His worth has fallen to about $4 million from a peak of about $100 million."

If he still has to sell a lot of property, amongst others his New Mexican property, how can he be sure he is still worth 4 million. In such a situation his net equity could as easily be 4 million negative as that same amount positive.

How to write call options at IB?

Maybe this helps: When you sell an option as an opening position and your counterparty does a close buy on his short position, his short position becomes your short position. With open interest nothing changes in this case. But when you sell an option as an opening position and your...

How to write call options at IB?

When you sell an option, what does it matter to you wether you increase open interest or not? So I really don't understand your question.

Europe Socialism vs. American Socialism. Europe for all, America for a few.

I'm a Dutch citizen and I pay absolutely zero in taxes on the money I make by trading. The rule here is that everybody has to pay 30% on a "fictve" income of 4% on his capital. That makes 1.2% on your capital. What you really make doesn't matter. That for me, in my circomstances, is the only...

Michael Covel Says: Greed Is Good

Another interesting book written by Curtis M. Faith (one of the turtles) is: WAY of the TURTLE. In my opinion it offers more practical insights about trendtrading. The Complete Turtletrader is a fascinating story though.

Emotional traits of the best traders

In this I agree with Ed Seykota: The caracteristics of a succesful and experienced trader are: 1. A lot of money. 2. Experience.

    Honest and low-spread FOREX brokers?

I don't follow you. Trading forex successfully has nothing to do with size. For futures it does have though. But it has everything to do with moneymanagement and the timeframes you trade. I am not trying to trick anybody.

    Honest and low-spread FOREX brokers?

Maybe that's true when you trade very short term. Logically they will hedge their positions on Forex. The money I made over the years will certainly not be lost by Oanda.

    Honest and low-spread FOREX brokers?

Oanda is not a broker but a marketmaker that's true. Nevertheless for the way I trade it doesn't matter. Probably don't try to scalp there (maybe nowhere). Trading at Oanda allready made me hundreds of thousands in a couple of years. Most customers at real brokers fail also.
