FX worksheet how to obtain the current "in year" status URGENT!

Is there a way to have a real time fx worksheet or at least an indication what batch of exchange rate is next DURING the year. Currently during the year it is a blackbox for me to know what will happen with my next trade regarding FX P&L. Any idea would be greatly appreciated!

Trading deep deep OTM option big contract or mini SPX or SPY

I am looking to open with sell CALL Plus PUT OTM options to gain market neutral status. Should I prefer the big or mini SPX contract in terms of a low spread? Holding period will be around 3-4 months. This is a special situation and not a trading approach. Much obliged!

    Liquid options with low spread

Thanks for your post! I am always open for errors in my doings! The tax officer will see an account with REALIZED losses in year x+1, he will not see year x at all while in Panama. X+1 is the year moving to tax jurisdiction. He will see a yearly p&L report which starts at the beginning of the...

    Liquid options with low spread

Thank you for your post! Pls just accept the tax situation as a given, it is the law in the tax jurisdiction, nothing to argue about neither from you nor me. Future would be perfect to my understanding with very low spreads if it would work tax wise. Stated several times futures are not...

Best Country for Trading (Tax efficiency)

I never understood this concept. It is just deferring taxes (which is good) but in the end I must pay taxes when receiving money out of the fund (at least in the jurisdictions I know at sometimes even moren then If u held the shares yourself right away). What am I missing. PS: "Or live in a...

    Liquid options with low spread

If I am not mistaken my sold call option increases in value the same amount my sold put option decreases whereever I am. Portfolio value stays flat IMHO pls correct if I am wrong here (Time value should be in my favour and should be low anyway as options are deep in the money). The value of the...

    Liquid options with low spread

How often do I have to tell you it is a legal? Maybe you have to google dunning kruger effekt? But this is a new low as you do not even know the topic you are giving out "advice" about (tax laws in country x and going to jail). Maybe you are a good options trader but tax law is not your forte.

    Liquid options with low spread

How can you pass this judgement without knowing the jurisdiction we are talking about? Insurance wrappers cost a lot of money i.e. 1-3% of notional and are not working in several jurisdiction. As explained several times this setup is completly legal wheras insurance wrappers are in some...

    Liquid options with low spread

I would need strikes like 2400 and 4420 to feel comfortable risk wise (30%). The strikes are far to close and I would run a suicidal risk with those strikes, I agree.

    Liquid options with low spread

Currently planing on having the legs in the same account due to possible margin restraints. Please elaborate how I can use OTM options to achieve a market neutral portfolio without any risk? Buying options is not working in the tax jurisdiction. I "need" a big option premium so that I have a...

    Liquid options with low spread

You do not have to move continuously. This is called perpetous traveller, where you do not stay long enough in a country to be taxed at all. Again not working for the US Guys as you are one of two nations that tax based on nationality. Lets say you move every 5 years you realize EVERY Profit...

    Liquid options with low spread

Of course you are more or less certain of a win in the no tax jurisdiction unless the underlying is flat the whole time or your miss the time to realize the loss . As soon as the market moves in either direction you win on one leg. That is the leg you realize the win, now you have a realized win...

    Liquid options with low spread

Specific reason being potential 20-30% tax saving on notional. Would you trade with this info or would you say risk is too high. As I would be selling the options a high premium would help me. I shall not have my options exercised early for tax reasons. This happened to me on stock options...

    Liquid options with low spread

Tax loss harvesting can amount to 100% of the notional in some cases. Again not working for anyone based in the US.

    Liquid options with low spread

I like your post and the warning about the high premiums! I have not yet looked at premiums as I am still looking for the right underlying in my case. Does it make sense to try the paper account with IB or are the "filled" options pricing way off the real prices? Will try anyway but want to...

    Liquid options with low spread

Pls read my posts carefully. The IRS is not a part of it as the client has not and will not live in US. Its a tax arb strategy. Profit sometimes arises while living in a country that does not tax cap gains at all like Panama and the losses happen in the year when you live in a country that taxes...

    Liquid options with low spread

There will be profit and loss in each leg, with the only exception being if the underlying does not change at all during a 2 to 8 week period which is extremly unlikely. I think we can agree on that.
