Texas - what the hell - huge budget crisis

Not to be negative, and certainly not racist, but illegals can't read their native tongue, let alone English. I'd be surprised if that 20% figure was even halfway legit.

    Better off as a plumber?

2 new Dr's in a small town eventually get their new Clinic built, all the lastest diagnostic gadgets, full staff of PA's and RN's. They throw one hell of a Grand Opening party on a Sat. nite. ALL of the commodes back up, on both floors. Plumber gets called, shows up with a 2 man crew, and in...

Texas - what the hell - huge budget crisis

Being a native of the Lone Star State, I'll admit to being biased. However, the fact that truly, really for real, no shit, 1/3rd of our entire yearly General Fund is spent on Medicaid might be a factor. Yes, we have an illegal immigrant problem. Yes, their children are fed free in school, and...

Why do America's police need an armored tank?

I asked some officers, eyeball to eyeball, if they would ever obey an order to disarm citizens w/out a warrant, and/or round up innocent Americans and put them behind barbed wire...either at the behest of their Chief, Sheriff, or Dist. Judge. To a man, they all said "NO, that's an Unlawful...

Why do America's police need an armored tank?

I've heard "rumors" of this from my buddies in LE. Never heard about the "take orders from Da Gubmint" tho...

    Beliefs That Sabotage Traders

In "Memnoch, The Devil", Anne Rice summarized Hell as the place where we learn to forgive ourselves, then Satan leads us thru the gates of Heaven to eternally live in paradise. While her theology is certainly different, it still leads to the conclusion that the work is up to us. Thank you...

    NQ Scalping

I use a 14,1,3 Slow Stoch, a 1.5point Range Chart, and I like bounces off the even numbers ie; 2300, 2305, etc. I shoot for 2points, but find myself getting out for 1pt WAY too much of the time. Anyone else scalp the NQ?

Deep inside don't you feel satisfied that this crisis humbled pretentious people?

I sometimes wonder if graduate students use internet forums like this for polling/research. It'd be easy to throw honest polling stats out the window by throwing up a poll on a site like this, and after a few days of responses..... just stating "The overwhelming response of the people polled...

    SS charts--no comments, just charts

SS, I'm enjoying your thread very much. To make it easier to follow along, could you be so kind as to tell us what the Upper and Lower zones consist of? The formula for the Mid Zone was very helpful. Thanks. Ian

The Invisible Hand That Limits Your Trading

Excellent! iow, if you keep beating the drum of "what is", you'll keep getting more of it. Most importantly, what story are you telling yourself about yourself? ie: your trading abilities

Budget constraints force cities to chose CREMATION over burying deads

In regards to the living, how is it "respectful" to spend the money of the living on the disposal of the biological vessel of a spirit who no longer needs, nor wants it. ?!?! I've seen the "wishes of the dead" honored by the deceased's family with a burial. The burial cost $35 fuk-eng...

Calpers sues ex-Lehman execs over mortgage risks

Has anyone sued the ratings companies yet? Or is that the next shoe to drop?

I'm sorry, but I have to rob you.

NEVER EVER NEVER DO THIS. EVER! I'm quite familiar with firearms. A firearm is a tool. I don't invest any emotion into tools, they're still just tools no matter what some would have you believe. However, I am somewhat familiar with idiots. Your friend might be one.

The Invisible Hand That Limits Your Trading

jjf wrote ""And so I created that principle belief of fun and joy" There is so much power in that simple statement. In simplicity is the greatest beauty, joy, and power. A life full of abundance, or lack. The choice is ours.
