Hey there, I have a new trading system that requires a bunch of computers co-located close to the data center (my guess is the broker). I need access to the ecn data feeds and all of that. I'm kind of new to this, so what's out there?

I kind of got bored catching up on this thread, but one thing that you may want to think about is this; Maybe you should look at this thread as one big trade you had confidence in that went sour. Not everything goes as you want it to. Then, step back and examine how you have handled the bad...

It makes about 4k a day net. The only reason it lost money ever was netwrok issues. It's streak before that losing day was 40 days. I'm not kidding.

I trade ES mechanically and it may not be the best results, but my winning percentage is about 55% and avg winner is $300 while avg loser is $150 per contract. I just let it run on it's own and walk away from it. It grows consistently over time. As far as seeing systems that never lose money...

The one thing that I did do this time is set aside a couple months of data and optimize my system on an entirely different set of data, and then use those paramerters on the separate set-aside dataset. The goal is to see any differences in performance. So far they perform the same, so that is...

Okay, I cut and pasted it into Excel. I'm sure there is a better way to do it, but this should work. Basically its a moving average system on a 90 minute timeframe with different parameters and indicators.

The SMC Barricade is like 45 bucks and only shows one IP to the cable company. Works well. Plus, I have never seen any issues with hackers using this.
