    Bread & Butter Iron Condors

CD, thanks for posting the article. Will read a few more times to fully digest. My approach is not quite so aggressive ... using Deltas of 5 of less and only going out 30-45 days.... RUT is also my favorite vehicle. My annual target is a more like 30-40%.

    Bread & Butter Iron Condors

I have not traded the SPY... been trading Iron Condors (legging into them) on RUT and NDX.... But always farther out... I look at Deltas of below 5 before I trade. Not 10-15% a month, but maybe 2-3%, but I can sleep at night.

    Covered Calls

When I was doing Covered Calls, I would go to callpix dot com I also did some CCs on FAS... good premium, but risky. I have left Naked Puts and Covered calls for Credit Spreads... The 4% this last month was nice, Just trading NDX, RUT and some IWM

    Debit Spreads and Vega

All great data... I have tried Covered Calls and Naked Puts.... as I do not have lots of time to do the detailed analysis to provide myself with an educated estimate of where a specific equity is going, I have settled on OTM Credit Spreads.... My trigger is a low delta on a basket (IWM, RUT or...

does anybody manage a book of options in interactive brokers

I am with OptionHouse and thinking of a move to IB My concern has always been their platform.... Don't care about pretty graphics and neat stuff... just a no-nonesense option platform with all the greeks laid out nicely, Anything requiring programming is beyond me. But you guys are...

    Trading Long Straddles

Falcon, you opened this thread stating that you failed at credit spreads.... do you mind if I ask what "rules" you used to enter those trades.... I have been working credit spreads successfully for a few months now... Only trade on items such as IWM, RUT, NDX, SPX, etc. No more then 40...

    Front End for IB

Another question on IB.... by the way I am with OptionHouse today. I am now trying to get aggressive about pricing my spreads at the mid-point ... not getting very good fills from OH using this approach. I have heard that with IB is very good at getting fills at aggressive pricing... Should...

    Trading Long Straddles

I consider myself a Novice.... did not look at Options until March of this year... Stocks from Covered Calls and assigned Naked Puts have lost 5% of my account... Leaving this approach behind. Now... the option premiums on these equities have given me back about 2%. Premiums on Credit Spreads...

    Front End for IB

This is the question I have... I hear great things about IB's commissions (including fees) and their ability to fill orders and great prices.... All bad things about their platform... but I also hear about the ability to trade IB options through other means.... As a non-technical...

    Trading Long Straddles

Falcon, I believe you have been at this longer then me.. (Since March) ... I have moved away from Naked Puts and Covered Calls... as equities have burned me by 20% (of the equities, not the acct).... More thenmade that on vertical spreads... all Credit spreads. Have looked at the...

    Best options broker?

I use OptionHouse, which I do not see mentioned here very often. I have only been trading Options for about 4 months and do not have experience with other brokers. So far happy with OH and their customer service.... I just went to the eOption web site and their commission structure is very...

    Trading Long Straddles

I am fairly new to options... 3-4 months and a few books. I opened my account at Option House and have been happy... Maybe I do not know what I am missing. Platform seems fine... price structure over 5 contracts at $8.50 plus $.15 per contract. I am still learning how aggressive I can...

    any option sellers

I thank you for starting this thread. I am new to options... started in March. Expected to start by purchasing high dividend stocks and selling Covered Calls... Well, I quickly learned about Naked Puts, so I started selling on the stocks I considered buying... seemed much easier then...

    My option trades

I am also very new at options... this is actually my first month trading live. As most beginners, I had intended to by blue chips that pay good dividends and write Covered Calls. Did that on some KO stock I already owned. After reading a bid, including this thread, I started writing Naked...

Hey Dreamliner, I am almost in your same status. Just opened my first Options account... at OptionHouse. I sold a few Puts today on stocks I want to purchase for the purpose of writing Covered Calls. Will also be doing some Iron Condors and other conservative Spreads. I am now on book...
