    It is based on a slow ema being above or below a fast ema. Plus the 2 emas must be diverging rather than converging. I use a 5 min chart. And you now know exactly which indicator I use and how I use it as a trend filter.

    Read Trader Vic's interview in Market Wizards (I believe it is in new market wizards). Success in trading is most dependant on emotional discipline and the ability to admit that you are wrong he explains. One of the best traders he hired at one point had not even completed high school.

    This may be a stupid question but can someone please explain how to determine volitility stops. For example if I'm trading ES off of a 5 min chart, would I simply apply ATR to the chart and have the stop a function of the last ATR reading?

    It looks to me like we have shifted to an uptrend for the day. Previous high around 894 broken. I am expecting a period of congestion followed by an extension to the upside.
