    'Discretion' in discretionary trading

I'm interested by the initial premise of your thread. Some people have said things like "instinct" play a role in discretionary trading. I believe that qualifies as: "decisions being made based on heuristics that are not necessarily consciously known to the trader." It also implies such...

    Algo's section?

I see. When you said "formula" I suspected you had a specific platform in mind. In this case, AmiBroker. This kind of question then is perhaps better directed at those who are knowledgeable of AmiBroker i.e. AmiBroker forums or user groups. There are far too many platforms and software out there...

    Algo's section?

What kind of formulas are you talking about? Perhaps if you answered the queries there would be more participation. Or are you looking for a place to ask questions that other people will answer for you?

Why arguments and debates about God and religion are fruitless

No, it's odd that you need multiple aliases just because you have multiple machines. Bizarre

    Best book on Lifting

What you eat, when you eat and how you eat is more than half the battle. It's also very different depending on if you want to lose weight or build muscle and nitro was doing one then the other and now I think back to building muscle. I linked before, but here it is again: Pre/Post...

    Best book on Lifting

My suggestion would be to forget your abs until your overall body fat percentage is much lower -> less subcutaneous fat around your mid-section. Perhaps when you're around 160-165 in 3-4 months*. You can't selectively choose where to lose fat from your body so it's an overall fat loss issue to...

    Clojure for automated trading?

No, he means that Clojure and Erlang are comparable in many respects. Since Goldman Sachs uses Erlang there's no reason why Clojure can't be similarly employed. Are there specific features of Clojure that you think would make it a good choice for this problem domain? With Clojure you can...

    seeking a programmer/developer in NYC?

Neither MS Silverlight or Adobe AIR are DHTML technologies. Furthermore, Adobe AIR is a desktop runtime. You're thinking of Adobe Flex. Adobe Flex and MS Silverlight are rich-Internet technologies and provide a compelling alternative to HTML-based interfaces delivered by a web-browser. If...

    trading software for Android??

I've just seen that thinkorswim released one a couple of weeks ago but it doesn't appear to be on their website. There's none for Interactive Brokers yet. Just a poll.

That's a perfectly adequate combination of broker and platform to get started quickly.

    trading software for Android??

Yes, the potential is there. It's just not that trivial to convert an existing Java application if it is GUI-heavy like IB's TWS to run on Android. They'll most likely start from scratch and incrementally add features over time. Interestingly though, you could have something like...

    Best book on Lifting

That's the one. It's harder than it looks. The first couple of times you might want to start out with simple squat thrusts i.e. the burpee with out the push up and the explosive jump.

    trading software for Android??

Viewing charts with real time data not a problem. Check the Android marketplace or your broker if they plan to offer anything.

    trading software for Android??

Yes, but not all of the Java API is supported. You'd have to throw away the entire GUI and re-write it for Android (Swing and SWT etc. are not supported). Then there is the fact that the screen size of an Android device is quite a bit different to your average desktop. Then there are memory...

    trading software for Android??

No. Not feasible. At least not all of the features e.g. auto-trading etc. What features are you looking for? I'm working on a proposal to develop some charting software for Android phones.

Yeah, I recommended HIIT earlier in the thread. You'll never catch me on a treadmill for 2 hours. Tabata for 4 minutes and you're done. You don't need to train to failure to induce micro-trauma -> hypertrophy.
