I think it will be due for some retrace soon...with stocks down again today, it doesn't look like it will be coming yet. But I have my limit shorts set when it does retrace some...

I was taken out of the second 1/2 at -31pips, essentially putting me at breakeven. Even with the NFPs as bad as they were, the dollar rallied right through that resistance point...blah. Breakeven trade...almost (-2pips).

I took 1/2 off the table at +29 points...will look to get the rest off soon. I was hoping for a larger move down and I won't be risking the NFP and bailout plan news.

Short USD/CAD, looking for a decent drop back to 106.5ish levels, will move stops to b/e asap. The risk/reward on this trade is excellent, backed by technical resistance @ 108. I'm concerned about the fundies/news out there right now along with the dollar strength...but will take this trade...

I hate to be a cheerleader, giving congrats to trades that weren't according to plan and just came out lucky...but good work on the gains nonetheless. <----- So true. Best of luck this coming week...markets are crazy right now...

Limit sell placed @ 108.01 on the USD/CAD...not sure if it will hit or not, trying to catch another spike at the "top" forming for a 100-150 pips downward. S/L 108.65. First T/P above 107.

Yeah, this movement is pretty insane...GL with everyone's stops.

If you would have used your normal S/L setups or a trailing, would you have been taken out?

I was liking this short idea as well...nice little downward channel on the hourly.

106.1 hit overnight for the last 1/4 of that USD/CAD short.

Closed a 1/4 out @ 106.3, 1/4 remaining. Sorry for bumping this thread so much on my one USD/CAD position! :\

bumped the t/p up to 106.10, in an attempt to avoid any support bounce @ 106. S/L remains at breakeven. We just closed up the hourly candle @ 12am PST and are at +39pips. Taking 1/2 off the table.

Stops moved to B/E, +15 pips. Rethinking this one...and seeing an ascending triangle on the 3hour...global USD strength and a bit too much risk for a mere 100pips.

Short USD/CAD @ 106.79, S/L above the 7 day high (107.75 or so), targeting 105.7. This is a larger "full size" trade for me so will look to book 1/2 profits @ 50pips or so, along w/moving the S/L to b/e.

Ha, well it was risk free. USD/CAD short stopped out at breakeven. This was a pretty small position so I wasn't looking to take 1/2 profits until we were real close to the T/P. No worries. I will take another look at the charts and will be ready to re-enter, this time with a full size...

Stops moved to breakeven, also pulled my t/p up a bit to 104.7 Risk free & +115pips at the moment.
