what is the maximum mathematically possible daily profit

Not sure why people are getting agitated. Well, it’s been a while since I did this math and I’m on my phone right now, but with 500:1 leverage, a 1 % move in your favour is a 500% gain on your capital.

what is the maximum mathematically possible daily profit

The theoretical maximum would be the sum total of the swings on any given day. On ES, this is routinely > 10 x the daily range.

Where to find a programmer to automatically backtest a system

Sounds like an ideal situation. :)

Is it common with brokers that only offer paper (PDF) statements of your account/trading activities?

I considered it. Current operation is that I export my daily trade performance report from Ninja to Excel. I then have written VBA which automatically imports this data to my P&L sheet and formats it according to my own criteria. I then fill in net P&L from my PDF statements and make sure...

Is it common with brokers that only offer paper (PDF) statements of your account/trading activities?

That's just gross performance, though. I could add commissions, but it would still not be quite correct due to various fees, etc. And Ninjatrader themselves have explicitly said to me that it's not mean for tracking account performance which to me seems like a VERY odd statement. What's the use...

Where to find a programmer to automatically backtest a system

I have someone now who wants to partner with me (not through ET), but I have some concerns. For one, I don't really like handing over stuff I spent so much time learning, researching and developing on my own. Finally, there's also the concern that the programmer gives up along the way OR that...

Is it common with brokers that only offer paper (PDF) statements of your account/trading activities?

LOL. Right. It seems very antiquated to me. I have no complaints about Dorman, though. It's a great broker which is very, very well capitalized. I figured that when NT is establishing a new brokerage in 2021 they'd be more modern, though. Which broker are you using for futures then?

Is it common with brokers that only offer paper (PDF) statements of your account/trading activities?

Yeah. That's a good point. I pretty muh day trade one futures market only. So keeping track of that roughly is not a big issue. Also, I can utilize account performance features in Ninjatrader which gives this data accurately for gross performance. But that's not what I'm asking. If I were...

Is it common with brokers that only offer paper (PDF) statements of your account/trading activities?

Actually, Ninjatrader Brokerage wouldn't even create a yearly statement for my taxes, so I had to compile it myself using monthly statements. That actually pissed me off. Dorman sends yearly statements - no problem.

Is it common with brokers that only offer paper (PDF) statements of your account/trading activities?

How did you arrive at that conclusion? Did you bother to read what I wrote at all? I already said that I'm tracking this in Excel, but it requires me to physically download this data and manually input it. This can potentially lead to errors and it's also time consuming. It could also be that...

Is it common with brokers that only offer paper (PDF) statements of your account/trading activities?

Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't call a simple equity curve "bell and whistles". The advanced performance metrics (which Ninjtrader offer to a certain degree) is not what I'm talking about, although I wouldn't mind those either (I see Tradovate offers those). Just basic account tracking...

Is it common with brokers that only offer paper (PDF) statements of your account/trading activities?

Hello everyone. Over the last few years I've been with Dorman Trading through Ninjatrader and eventually moved on to Ninjatrader Brokerage which now have their own brokerage. Trading wise I don't have any complaints, but I find it cumbersome that if I want to track my performance/equity, the...

    depression

I agree with Maxinger. You're already showing progress in this thread. Take control of the things in your life that you can control and start improving. Let go of that which you can't control. Just a quick word on medication: My doctor actually prescribed anti-depressants to me back in the...

    depression

When I was depressed I was very fragile. It would hurt just to watch people being sad on a TV show. So, little to no news and no negative TV shows. I suggest tuning out all that stuff for a while. It doesn't really matter anyway.

    depression

I don't have any statistics on that, but I do know a guy who went from rags to megariches and fame and could bang all the super models @SimpleMeLike are dreaming of and still committed suicide. It's not bullshit. It's true. So, are you saying you're not happy right now? You do seem to have a...

    depression

Nah. Plenty of rich people who commited suicide or are generally miserable. If you have a good attitude you can have an even better life with riches, sure. But you won't become happy from riches alone.
