49 %. :) Actually, my parents or family don't know that I trade. They bailed me out of debt and provided a loan when I blew an account at the age of 20. About $20K. I promised to never trade again. There's not many people in my life who know anything about my trading or that I even trade at...

Well, let's see how it goes moving forward... :) I have low expectations, but I realize that past failures often have come from other stuff that's not related to the actual trading part/skills. So, maybe I have a chance to get somewhere if I don't mess up. I've made many mistakes in the past...

Net results for September day trading ES and usually one contract only. That big losing day really put a dent in my performance for sure, but my piker account grew.

Day traders in Stockholm? Tired of sitting at your desk at home?

I think most bigger cities offer this today, but maybe not specifically for trading. For example: Malmskillnadsgatan 32 - Coworking Space in Norrmalm | WeWork

Well, futures trading is a zero sum game. If you're consistently losing it's simple enough. Do the opposite and you'll consistently win. Another advice on the same theme is that if one is consistently stopping out one may consider putting the entry where the intended stop is instead.... :)

A wise guy once said that if you're consistently getting stopped out you should reverse engineer your strategy.

But you always say that... :) Last trading day of September today. No edge on that basis alone as far as I can see. If we find a bottom here - I have a hunch it will only be temporary.

    news around 3:30 ?

If you've been living under a rock for most of 2022 I would understand your question, but I don't see anything special about todays late session move... :) Plenty of 15 point 5-minute candles lately...quite a few larger than that as well.

9 points ain't much of a stop in this environment, but much wider stops ain't necessarily the solution either.

You have to celebrate your winners, dude. I got it. I just remember the other trade you posted the other day where you said you took a big hit, but you may not have posted a stop on that one. Anyway, nice trade. :)

Day traders in Stockholm? Tired of sitting at your desk at home?

I would seriously have considered this if it was in Oslo, Norway. From how I understand it - trading, both retail and professionally is bigger in Sweden than in Norway. I don't know a single retail trader here in Norway. Lykke til! :)

Speculation on S&P500 futures (analysis and trading signals)

If you look at the hourly or any larger time frame - you would recognize that yesterday's late session thrust higher was a false breakout above the 30 level. Failing to hold that level as we went lower indicated a reversion back into that big ass trading range we've had going since last Friday...

    ES Journal - 2021/2022

Reversion in play. It was indeed an FBO. I'm sure a lot of people must have been bullish as hell after yesterday's push higher - even buying near the top on that breakout. Lots of FBOs lately on all time frames.

    Fibs don't work

Confluence and context. I don't think it qualifies as a Fibonacci number if you want to be strict, but the 50 % retracement level is undeniably an important one. Especially if it lines up with some other level. Sometimes it's overshoot by a bit, so I imagine that might be close to the 61.8 %...

What about your prior trade? Seemed like a great one which hit target? Don’t you post exits?

For what it's worth, I'm sure we'll head lower eventually. Might not be as bearish as you seem to be, though. :)
