    You Just Saw Capitulation!

    Great post.

    Margin. Redemptions.

Oh, and flytiger made a great point in a thread today about 'just wait until retirees, investors' get their quarterly statements from institutional brokers. There will be much, much more panic to come.

    Tomorrow....

The continued move down will result from force, not choice. When the retirees get their next statements from their brokerages... ...well. Margin calls, redemptions, forced liquidation for other reasons, and investors with institutional funds getting physical nausea.

Saxon.... ....you're 100% right. Thanks for reminding me to be understanding. Peace.

    Margin. Redemptions.

No floor. No way. Not even close. Mutual funds are going to get WHACKED. Hedge Fund liquidations. Commodities are going to get a third, tidal wave of selling. The good will have to be liquidated to pay for the bad (which is gone already, like a fart in the wind.)

Someone should start a poll on whether his dumb ass should be banned since he can't seem to voluntarily do the adult thing and honor his word.

    Next Week-Columbus Day Trading...REBOUND BEGINS

Why? What's the catalyst? If anything, the momentum is building towards a complete, extreme volume meltdown. The fundamentals of the economy are terrible. There is no clarity in financial losses (amount or sources).

I've Never Started A Black Anyday Thread

But I have been suggesting tomorrow will be terrifying since Monday. So I am popping my cherry. Bush speaks in the morning, setting the table for complete panic (this is not Bush Bashing - any POTUS could speak and it would set off the alarm bells). Central Banks are out of tools and...

Why is anyone irrational enough to be bullish here?

See? There's no bottom. Repeat after me.

    Looking at intrade

You know what's ironic (at least to me)? I just saw an article from MARCH of this year where none other than Rupert Murdoch said (back then) that Obama would win. I don't necessarily like the guy, but he's not anything less than triple sharp...

Why is anyone irrational enough to be bullish here?

To Pabst's and some others' point: If you're a triple sharp trader, you should be in heaven in this environment. I'm not a sharp trader. The closest I can get to consistent success is using swing trading. With these insane whips, what one hand giveth, the other taketh away x2 within days...

**Breaking News FED and Banks looking to shut down Exchanges**

I hope he has an endoscope, too.

Why is anyone irrational enough to be bullish here?

Seriously. Housing values still dropping, 401(k) and retirement funds decimated, retail sales worse than they were in the early 80s and getting worse, car sales absolutely anemic, banks in serious trouble (Paulson warned quietly yesterday to expect more bank failures), commodities plunging...

Obama's New Get Out The Vote Strategy

I suppose it would be unreasonable of me to ask for some sort of credible information to back these claims.

WTF!!! McCain Wants U.S. Government to Buy U.S. Homes And Renegotiate Mortgages!!!

I appreciate your viewpoint, Neo, but it's not accurate. I do like Obama, though. Fiscal conservatives really gun for Obama, while completely giving a free pass to Bush and the current crop of Republicans, on the basis of excess, rampant government spending. They may say 'Bush and the...
