I thought 'smart money' was the hegders - not the speculators. If the short interest is so high among speculators I would imagine that means we can see a huge short squeeze. I would be leaning long instead.

That's an initial FBO of the range high. Often, the first breakout fails, but as this is a range high one have to consider the chance that it's a reversal area. Most likely we lured in a few eager shorts and continue higher on the day. Squeeze, squeeze. :) EDIT: NQ weakness is the one concern...

Coming into range high here... ...let's see if someone sells this or if we squeeze a bit. Would assume the latter, but happy if I get 49 today. May not be the day to be greedy... :)

Care to elaborate? I never really used the COT report, but I think I've picked up that speculators generally are wrong. So, if speculators are very short here here, that sounds like we're set up for a nice short squeeze? Or do you interpret it in some other way?

Using the same data provider? And on which markets? If using the same data the obvious answer must be that the logic of the indicator differs between the platforms.

I've no idea. Never checked him out myself, but from the little I saw of him he seems like a sensible guy. The fact that he's not really selling anything is a good sign. I have another trading buddy who's looking into him and liking what he sees so far.

Which is exactly why you won't find anything of real value in an online course for sale. Bits and pieces that's useful? Maybe. But no way anyone is going to sell you a complete profitable system online. Obvious, really. :)

I would not recommend a beginner to even try as the failure rate in this business and the amount of learning/time required is far greater than most starting out can ever imagine. I read over 100 books on trading during my early years and would guess that less than 10 of those books held any...

Learning from the market, i.e., back-testing/back-checking price history both past and present and continuously studying how the market actually works and moves as opposed to a cherry picked bogus course. Very well, thank you. I have nothing to learn from false gurus selling courses online.
