Stay out of the US equity markets

One of the most ironic threads I've ever seen, considering this is a TRADING BOARD... "DONT TRADE . . . ITS TOO DANGEROUS!" I second that nomination!

Stay out of the US equity markets

And you post this in the "trading" forum? Too bad they don't have a "buy and hold" forum?

The next bank to blow up...

Where are the smarta**es now that were crying for the Fed to hike in order to combat crude prices >$100????????????? I'd say hike rates to 8% right now, Bernanke. So BAC, JPM and C all blow up next week. We have to urgently "clear out the system" and combat rampant inflation!

Bear Stearns in danger of blow up

I am amazed by the level of complacency and self shoulder-patting you show. I am agnostic to short term market direction but just for the sake of teaching you a lesson I'd love the markets to close in the green today.

You don't offer much substance that you could be flamed for. In fact, I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.

03/14 - IB datafeed messed up?

Seems to me as if IB data in TWS has problems of being updated? Half my quotes are not showing, I can't find any pattern it just seems to update random rows at a time, with other rows remaining empty. Only happens to all my equity positions, futures seem fine.

+10% to -10% on 6.5m shares. Pretty decent range I'd say!

My way of fighting the fed, I cannot sit still anymore

Cutten, you brought up some great examples. Examples where the patient went belly up and it took the economies years to get back on track, fortunately those crisis were local in nature, so every economy could draw on global growth to get back on track. Let's look at 1990. In many regards, you...

More downside or bottom?90-91 vs 07-08 stock comparison

I posted this in another thread regarding 1990/91 & how worthless headlines of the time were in forecasting market direction. Headlines of 1990: http://news.google.com/archivesearc...range=1991,2002 "Will the Recession Be Global? There are some dire warnings..." - Nov 4, 1990 "Jobless...

    implosion

What about when companies go bankrupt? Is that also funny? I honestly don't see much of a difference between a hedge fund blowing up and some company going out of business. Not sure what's funny or entertaining about it.

    Gasparino is disgusting

Imagine the following. I have no doubts that Spitzer had ambitions for the White house down the line. And who would he suggest as treasury secretary? Yes, you got it: JIM CRAMER. Thank God this will never happen.

Why would anyone actually trust S&P ???

Aha. So any move to the upside is pure idiocy. Any move to the downside is perfectly logical. Gotcha.

Bernanke: A Volcker In Greenspan's Clothing?

Mishkin has said numerous times they're vigilant to raise rates on the first signs of economic stabilization. We'll see.
