    Hedging the wheel

Shares and short two 35C = short one lot 35 straddle. Ideally used in skewed mkts, so better to run it on 2X bear funds. What two strikes? Between the short calls and the long wing? Quite a few variables; vol-line, skew (is spot above or below short strike?), time remaining, spot/vol corr...

    Hedging the wheel

You should stop using that word. You're going to cover your risk in TQQQ and short calls, ostensibly making the call naked risk. It's mind-numbing stupid.

The Fed should not vary interest rates from normal levels, says author Nassim Taleb

I'm stating that it is likely Piezoe's take. FRB and Treasury operations are highly scrutinized and we have a debt ceiling that can only be raised with a vote in Congress.

Perhaps bc we have a Central Bank with no hard limits on printing. It's why the Eurozone has an edge if they would get off their lazy asses.

I played Revere APC for years as a member of a group. Table limits exist to kill martingales.

    Hedging the wheel

If you're going to short upside calls then add some leverage and shoot for neutrality. Buy 100 TQQQ -> short two 20D calls -> cover with wings on a strike touch at a net-credit -> rinse, repeat. You'll "own" synthetic flies at a large arb-credit (equivalent 10-wide natural fly for say, a credit...

    Hedging the wheel

When we were all in LV a guy at Caesar's was martingaling outside bets to table limit repeatedly. Walked out losing $150K or so. I didn't think it possible.

    Hedging the wheel

Short a put -> assigned -> long TQQQ -> short n-MNQ -> what happened to the short 30D calls? So you’re going to take a loss, flatten your D1 exposure and short what are in effect naked calls? Brilliant.

    Hedging the wheel

Practitioners of the wheel are criminally stupid. But sure, add futures to the mix and post that shit here. I don’t post much any more but I’d love to railbird the ensuing debacle.

Sorry, I have to stop you there as I have an IQ prereq for conversation. I'll leave with perhaps you've heard of COVID.

I suppose adding $5T to the debt due to Trump tax cuts didn't quite have the outcome you all were looking to achieve.

    Calendar secrets :-)

Held to expiration... the calendar is path-dependent (vol), the other is not. Your PFC is the size of a grape. You're a consanguineous dirt floor having fcking clown.

    Calendar secrets :-)

Vols are expiration are zero with verticals. The vert is preferred if vols fall bc the calendar will suffer by comparison, moron.

Dipsht, the calendar is best practice if vols rise. The vertical is preferred if vols fall.
