Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Futures Trading Journal

Here is a post where someone linked to a video of them drawing channels (actually, I think it shows him catching the signal [an FTT]) in real time. Earlier in the Journal, I added symbols to show entry long, entry short, and exit points. I also included the clock for when I captured the...

Watch the Left Trend Line (Daily chart) - a good place to exit. Also, note the the most recent low and determine what price point would provide a 20% run from there. No need to allow greed to color your decision. - Spydertrader

Why do folks reveal Profitable Strategies, are they NUTS?

No. They trade The U.S. Equities Markets. - Spydertrader Edit: In case there is any confusion, those were my own automated results I posted. Not the guys from Australia.

Why do folks reveal Profitable Strategies, are they NUTS?

Equities. I haven't coded up the Futures Part yet. Still having trouble with the automated 'trend lines' in real time. - Spydertrader

Why do folks reveal Profitable Strategies, are they NUTS?

You either have reading comprehension issues, or you prefer to selectively quote in furtherance of your own agenda. I'll let you decide which it is. The 'two guys' who programmed the automation did so in Equities. You quoted from the Futures Journal - a journal where people are attempting to...

Why do folks reveal Profitable Strategies, are they NUTS?

A couple of guys down in Australia did fully automate the Equities Methods, and currently trade using those very same methods (fully automated). They often let it run while sleeping. What part of the methods I have explained did you find unclear? - Spydertrader

Look at the price bars. The first (of the black bars) closes right at the open price. It's safe to say we had a 50 / 50 split of red to black dominating that bar. The second bar spikes and closes just above where it opened. Much of the end of this bar is dominated by red volume - hence the spike...

For me, when price 'walks' out of the channel (moves laterally), I automatically look for a way to widen the original channel (fan out and recycle Point One). When prices 'moves' (with the aid of volume) I look for continuation of the 'change' signal. I hope that makes sense. - Spydertrader

Why do folks reveal Profitable Strategies, are they NUTS?

Listen. I work for myself. I have no boss, travel whenever I choose and I have no confidentiality agreement to sign. I've never charged for trading advice, never held a seminar in a Ramada Inn, nor do I own, operate, run or contribute to any financial web site (other than ET). This may not be...
