Doesn't this increase your risk? Is it unreasonable to think you might have more than one loser in a row?

    Method or Rule?

Discipline wins every time. Nobody lies to themselves worse than a trader in a position that has gone against them. They will believe anything that reinforces their belief that they are right and ignore the obvious that the trade moved against them because they were wrong.

    Series on trading methods

In order to profit in this market you have to not only buy a stock but also have to sell it. Just knowing where to buy is half a strategy. Where you sell determines your profit. How are you exiting these trades?

    Risk Management is the answer

I would argue that a good entry won't make you any profits if you don't have an exit plan. The entry is only part of the equation. To have any either profit or a loss you have to have an exit. I can give the perfect entry to 2 different traders and they'll probably end up with 2 different...

There is NO MORE RISK in the stock market...!

I don't like subjects this!! When the crowd starts with "This time is different" it's time to start tightening your stops. I much prefer " It can't possibly go any higher" :D:D:D

Let me explain how I use charts to swing trade stocks. I do the majority of my research after the market has closed. I have cash. That means I have recently closed a position. I need to find a stock to buy. My strategy is simple, buy stocks that are going up. The best place to look for them is...

At what time frame? isn't that like asking how high is up? I buy a stock that is rising. I sell it when it stops rising. It might be the same day if it turns around. It might be 5 days or 2 weeks or 2 years before it stops rising. As the position moves into profit I tend to give it more room...

Or buy stocks that are going up and sell them when they stop going up. You can use a chart to see which stocks are going up and when they stop.

Does it still make sense to invest in SPY longterm?

Sounds good but after 40 years will a million bucks actually be a lot of money? 40 years ago 100K was a lot of money.

How to be okay with taking a Stop Loss?

Take a look at your short recommendations. Profit targets are 50% higher than the entry and stops are 20% lower. How much simpler can you get?
