    5 Reasons Forex Traders Fail

traders lose because they do not take time effort to understand the whole market structure...they only know apart of it and that is what makes them say that risk management is everything in trading. just like someone knowing how the heart works but not the other things.

    5 Reasons Forex Traders Fail

are you talking about leverage? oh and in not so shady places....i can give a list......FBS for one.....i think they offer 3000 : 1 what does that mean? if the market goes against your position by 0.03% you lose 100% of your capital if you are using full leverage

    5 Reasons Forex Traders Fail

the only way to learn is to watch a master trader at work for a few years. this is practically very difficult because there are so few of them. i did not know any trader for decades and only found contact with traders when the online forums started. the other way is to watch bad...

    5 Reasons Forex Traders Fail

entry cost are least in trading business and more so in financial instruments trading and least in forex trading......this is not a a bad thing and gives opportunity to everyone to succeed. Failure to understand a market is one of the main reasons for failure. ask traders to explain what...

    Scalping is Risky?

to scalp you need to recognise high probability trades......which takes a great deal of experience . to make things worse you are playing for small amounts of market movements which means you have to be very precise in entry and exit. i counter this need of precision by averaging down but...

If markets were random why then does volatiliy spike at certains of the day (illustration inside)

If markets were random why then does volatiliy spike at certains of the day (illustration inside)

most do care about direction. there are enough statistics to show that over 90% of transactions in any market are speculative

If markets were random why then does volatiliy spike at certains of the day (illustration inside)

yes what the graph does not show is slippage. If a direction of the market is certain, then, no one is going to take the opposite side of the transaction.....UNTIL THE DIRECTION IS NO LONGER CERTAIN. so if the market is certainly going up, then the sellers will disappear and only offer at a...

If markets were random why then does volatiliy spike at certains of the day (illustration inside)

it is only 50/50...... if markets go up or down........markets can do something else: price can remain the same. and that is something which happens very often or most of the time. and traders get impatient and close positions......which is why traders in the long term tend to lose.... if it...

If markets were random why then does volatiliy spike at certains of the day (illustration inside)

very true what the hell are markets? they are places where business men go to make transactions. transaction is what causes market movements. Market movements result in transactions. so to say market is random means that business men transact randomly. I do not think they do that.

    Forex , its addiction ?

yes and we have to recognise that i have learnt to recognise when it is a range and i make all my money in that. so i am happy if it does not trend

    Forex , its addiction ?

yes you have to use leverage properly and get your entry exit perfect.......i never made it in forex tried for 13 years then saw that the margin for gold and eurusd were the same with my broker and changed to gold...doing a lot better in gold

    Forex , its addiction ?

it is still very tame in the sense it does not trend one way........but i have found it's fluctuations very logical which was not the case with most of forex. i found i am not patient for one way trends

    Forex , its addiction ?

but you still have to be good trader.......leverage does not make money trading ability does..and that ability is rare

    Forex , its addiction ?

most forex traders want action......and unless you trade huge volumes-which is possible because of tame movement- you get impatient and so it is NOT suitable for day trading. i have shifted to gold after 13 years in forex and have become profitable after just 2 months of trading gold

    Forex , its addiction ?

but i must also add that i spent 13 years learning to trade 5 min which is one of the most difficult time frames to trade......

How long did it take you to become a **consistently** profitable trader?

sorry i do not agree. that is why i traded for 13 years even while losing because i always believed it was possible to read markets as was told to me by Brooks and others in their books. you need to be able to recognise the strength of the players involved-the bull side and the bear side-and...

How long did it take you to become a **consistently** profitable trader?

yes it took me 13 years to begin to have a clue so this is about par for the course. but i still think it was worth it...IMO i always wanted to be a day trader......for the freedom more than the money which is nice but a lot of rich people are prisoners' of their wealth.....not traders though

    Forex , its addiction ?

ONLY FOREX? not stock market? research has shown that given two choices: one with a much more likely win but small reward and another with unlikely win but huge reward most people choose the latter option. that said most experts who teach and many who dont, say it took them 8-10 years to...
