Thanks Hood! As a former floor trader, it's almost second nature always looking for these "measured-moves" and retracements. Looks like the market found some support at that .618 fib level yesterday. :)

Did anyone have 1264.29 as an SPX target today? It happened to be a 61.8% fibonacci of the most recent run up from Monday's low (1247.44) up to the 1291.67 high of yesterday. Also interesting to note, the first leg down off of the 1291.67 high into this morning's opening low was 18.61...

You are mistaken. JPM "back-stopping" Bear did do something. The fact of the matter is that there were counter-parties to Bear that were made whole. You keep forgetting that there are "others" on the other side of all of these mortgage transactions. These transactions are not transferable...

I don't believe that the "IQ-Feed" has Level-2 quotes for the NYSE. Only Nasdaq.

Looks like we broke the 38.2% retracement and are now heading for the 50% at around 1269.50 SPX 61.8% lies down around 1264 and change.

I know for a FACT that that is not what EWT is saying. If you must know, EWT is quite confused about the longer term count. They are not sure if the low at 1200 was the end of a (C) of Wave 4 and we are heading into Wave 5, or if we are simply entering a further counter-trend rally up to 1325...
