    OIH and Drillers

Natty gas is surging 30 cents today in the January contract and putting a fire under the land drillers with a +$5.10 move in Crude creating a surge in DO and RIG. A great sector to TRADE!

Again, do not underestimate the kind of "bid" that can be put into this market given the strength in the energy and commodity sector.

Yet another "spike" up to 838.54 SPX as crude is now +$4.27 The OVERSOLD energy and commodity stocks are certainly doing their part at putting a "bid" underneath this market today.

Once this Citiground party dies down

Sounds like a rather naive statement to make at this juncture. What sectors are you talking about? Please be specific. Would you be selling the OIH "short" at this level ( 77.50 ) with crude +$4.40 and an OPEC meeting at the end of the week?

Bernanke and Paulson are out of control

Limited resources??? You can't be serious.

Once this Citiground party dies down

Commodity shares are surging. Traders are making money in energy, drilling, steel, and coal stocks today. If you think some of these stocks like BTU are "shorts" at $21.00, feel free to sell 1,000 shares . . .

Bernanke and Paulson are out of control

The current situation is like hitting a moving "target" while you are riding on the back of a motorcycle. Given the way that this situation is currently EVOLVING . . .Paulson & Bernanke obviously want a TON of FLEXIBILITY.

Nice big "double-top" on the 1-minute SPY chart at 84.00 Note: Crude is +$3.00 and Gold is surging which gives the commodity and energy names a nice bid in the market . . . Could be a day to buy "dips" if day-trading.

    Geitner New Treasury Secretary

Geithner will most likely be the "operational" guy while Larry Summers will be the "brains" behind the monetary team. Looks like a good start. Even got the blessing from Roubini. :)

    Comcast . . .

Just an FYI regarding Comcast . . . If you have been consistently experiencing lots of slow speeds, slow web-browser loading, "time-outs", and dropped connections . . . there appears to be an issue with the DOCSIS 2.0 equipment functioning properly with the new DOCSIS 3.0 stuff ( which is...

Citigroup seeks "emergency cash" from U.S. Treasury

Paulson changed his mind and stated that he would no longer be buying the toxic loans off of the balance sheets of financial institutions ( because "things had changed" he said in an interview with Erin Burnett on CNBC week before last ). This had been his original TARP proposal AND as Congress...

Citigroup seeks "emergency cash" from U.S. Treasury

The relationships are very complex and interdependent . . . take a moment to look up "counter-party" risk, and then take a look at what happened to the financial markets after LEH was allowed to go under. Also, I'll give you one guess who the largest holder of LEH corporate debt was.

Citigroup seeks "emergency cash" from U.S. Treasury

The management at Moody's, Fitch, and Standard & Poor's need to be held accountable . . . indicted with their feet held to the judicial fire and thrown in prison if need be. In my opinion, throw in SEC Commissioner Cox into that "group" as well.

Citigroup seeks "emergency cash" from U.S. Treasury

But the jump from $40 billion to $80 billion was the result of those incredibly "accurate" rating's agencies downgrading AIG's debt three notches, all over a weekend.

Paulson Has done a Bang up job!!

Is you READING COMPREHENSION always stuck at the 5th grade level??? I never mentioned anything about disallowing shorting. That wasn't the point that I was making. In fact, I thought that disallowing shorting in financials was yet another absurd policy change by Chairman Cox given that...

    Went To The Mall Today

And what would you have to say about Mssrs. Ewing (R-IL) and Lugar (R-IN) who introduced the "Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000" to our wonderful nation? Strange how I can't seem to find one single post of yours criticizing these Republican legislators for creating power contracts...

    What's with the word "handle"

As a former stock-index futures floor trader from the mid-80's I can tell you that the term "handle" has been around for nearly 25 years . . .
