    Big Players "Treading Lightly"?

That's actually closer to average. It means there are LOTS of (new?) small players driving prices now... you know, the "Robin Hood" effect ('cept they have to pay fees and commish to trade futures, you know.) Frankly, I've been a bit surprised at the volume handle considering the size of the...

    Big Players "Treading Lightly"?

I doubt "summer volume" alone is adequate to explain a drop of 95% in participation....

    Big Players "Treading Lightly"?

1.In the ES futures contract...Most of the time now days, the Bid/Ask volume is ~ 100-200 contracts per price on the DOM. I can recall when the market depth was 2000-4000 contracts per price! 2. The NQ futures contract has all but dried up.... averaging ~ 10 contracts per Bid/Ask price during...

We had a chance once to elect Ron Paul... couldn't do it, sadly.

Cost of Leverage Can Be Devastating!

SOXL chart looks a lot like TQQQ... which has greater depth and liquidity.

Cost of Leverage Can Be Devastating!

YES! Some say leveraged ETFs are for "day trades only". I don't agree. They are also for the "swing" play. That is, the gain on the swing play to be more than enough to offset the cost of leverage in the short term when the play moves in your favor.

Cost of Leverage Can Be Devastating!

Not necessarily. If the market does not "bounce back quickly" and rather "stays down and down and down", the losses from the cost of leverage can make it nearly impossible to recover for those who were on the wrong side of the market early-on.

Cost of Leverage Can Be Devastating!

Notice how the QQQ made new highs... but the TQQQ (3x leverage on the QQQ) did not. One might think, "if the QQQ regained the high, the TQQQ should have also... but not the case. While the QQQ rebounded ~50%, the TQQQ bounced ~200%, but fell short of making new highs. The difference is the...

    Option Pricing Under Power Laws

The entire notion of "logical option pricing" has been tossed on its ear in this time of "buy everything Fed".

    College degree core requirements

Interestingly... a genuine, quality education today might include proficiency in math, English and foreign language... specifically Spanish and Chinese/Mandarin. And you can get ALL of that for FREE or minimal cost online! America's "college education racket" has a high SCAM coeffecient IMV!

    College degree core requirements

Well yeah... the more classes the college requires for their granting of a degree, the more money the student will spend there. If you want to be "well rounded" in your education... then you pursue a liberal arts degree... full of poetry, art, and song... for whatever that's worth.

    College degree core requirements

Colleges degrees require you have a major and a minor... + exposure to other disciplines to "round-out" your education. Personally, I see biology as one of the more interesting and valuable "other disciplines".

WHITE PEOPLE - stop dialing 911 on Black People

Ditto that. The blacks are constantly screaming "RACISM"... about every damned thing... even black coffee! (SHAME on Starbucks for serving that!) And then... the blacks are all about, "whites to to back"... "whites pay $10 reparations", "kill a white on sight". How much more racist can that...

Any downside of choosing "continuous" ES futures?

If the difference between the futures and cash is a negative like it is now, usually (or at least used to be) referred to as "negative premium"... still maintaining the "premium" moniker by convention. Years back when interest rates were higher, the futures traded at a premium over the cash...

Any downside of choosing "continuous" ES futures?

The continuous contract has quarterly adjustments/distortions(?) for premium. No value in that, really. If you want to look back to history, use the SPX cash. The futures data is relevant only in the nearby contract.
