They did that more than 20 years ago. Amazon was started in 1994!!!! They kept selling Wall Street the dream that one day they would be profitable. That dream came true once they started AWS. It is still the only thing that turns a profit. If they find another AWS they will grow (profit-wise)...

Growth is sales, revenues, profits. Not warehouses. Those are expenses. The 90s, 00's maybe even the 10's were about growth. Now it is all about profits and margins. They killed the competition. Lately it is put up or shut up.

What's misleading is, if any credit is given to a President (don't know why really), then the prior President should get some for leaving things in better shape than they came in - if they did. But when it is a change in parties, extremely biased politics can't let folks do that.

Here is a stat comparison that IMO is very telling:- AMZN profit margin 2.26% ...operating margin 2.58% WMT profit margin 2.36% ...operating margin 4.06% Not just that WMT is slightly higher but that WMT does it without a Cloud Computing money-making machine like AWS.

Smart and dumb money. :) You have to ask, who was buying and who was selling when price was going higher and higher? Then flip the script around.

Range widened by 10 points but still less than half of avg. Was going to add, not likely much more before FED comes out ... when dropped some more and looking weaker.
