    90% failing rate , its true ?

The brokers in the UK and EU are required by the regulators to publish up to date percentages of their current clients who are losing money. These numbers consistently run in the 70-80% region. There are some structural differences between trading forex in the UK for example and the US - CFD's...

It's hard hearing friends making profits, and I am losing money.

There are tips and there are tips. Some smallcap stocks in sexy sectors can move really fast and dramatically on little analyst / media coverage. A tip which says such and such a stock is moving up fast is a crude form of TA - that's momentum trading - not gambling. Might be worth considering...

Second Coronavirus Lockdown Announced In United Kingdom.

The NHS projections, even for the south-west with very low current case incidence, are that all hospital capacity in all regions will be overwhelmed if we do nothing. Unfortunately, we are stuck in the position of either doing something which will eventually be found to not work, or not doing...

Second Coronavirus Lockdown Announced In United Kingdom.

its true that lockdowns only delay the inevitable, while damaging the economy to such an extent that we will see extra deaths and extra illness etc. anyway, which we will nor even be able to afford to treat even if the hospitals were empty. Not having a lockdown would not prevent a continuing...

Second Coronavirus Lockdown Announced In United Kingdom.

Apparently the mechanisms why some people get a really sever infection after a mild one, or a mild infection after a really severe one, are not yet understood. It seems if we don't get a vaccine soon, we will either all die of covid or we will all die of stuff that would have been treatable but...

Second Coronavirus Lockdown Announced In United Kingdom.

Yes Imperial College London have found you can catch the virus twice or more. The repeat infection can be more or less severe than the first. It could also be symptomless. Its also possible to test positive for covid cells without having even an asymptomatic infection.

    Well, that was unexpected...

Odds from my UK bookmaker have been around 1.5:1 for Biden and 2.5:1 for Trump for several weeks. Suddenly they have reversed and widened - 1.44:1 for Trump, 2.75:1 for Biden. (as I type this, Biden has 220 EC votes, Trump 213)

    How to learn Forex Trading?

Get hold of a simple objective strategy, open a demo account and start learning. Start at the daily time-frame, 4H if you really need to but don't go lower until you're making money. The key to greater success in forex is not more theoretical knowledge.

    New to Forex Trading

Start on the daily charts and demo some simple strategies. Move down to 4hours if you need to in order to find enough set-ups. There are plenty of approaches that only require you to review the situation on your target forex pairs when the bar closes, so you will not be continuously...

How much will the stock market fall if Biden wins?

An interesting take on probabilities. Did you hear about the blonde and the scientist walking along a street and the scientist said to the blonde, "What do you think is the probability of the next person coming round that corner being Chinese?". "Oh she said, 50-50." "How can you say 50-50?"...

How much will the stock market fall if Biden wins?

I'm long-term trading the election so I'll be waiting for at least the NY close Wednesday before making a move, preferably bullish. The most frustrating outcome would be a hung result - legal wrangles could last weeks.

Theoretically, shouldn't any indicator-based or relatively simplistic strategy have no edge at all?

Yes, it was me that introduced random as a definition of edge. Yes, getting long in a bull market is not random, but it is an edge. Many people congenitally just cannot do this.

Theoretically, shouldn't any indicator-based or relatively simplistic strategy have no edge at all?

Surely edge means an edge over random, its not defined by the other participants. Please, I don't want to have to climb into the loft to get my Mark Douglas's out... That said, yes, many experiments have shown that random entries can be so well managed as to be profitable. In that case the...

Election week ahead: Bull vs Bear forces?

Covid-19 is a mild flu? For everyone? Where does this come from?

Election week ahead: Bull vs Bear forces?

Masks are neither here nor there in terms of disease transmission - I don't think wearing one will do a damn thing. But its cheap and causes me no issues to do so, so I'm not going to object. Life's too short to be distracted by politicians' smokescreens and diversionary tactics.

Second Coronavirus Lockdown Announced In United Kingdom.

I have never listened to a word he has said, he's not a trader in the sense that I understand it. Rich he may be but for the relevance to what I do he could as easily have been an architect or a pilot.

Election week ahead: Bull vs Bear forces?

What? No, no. I was talking about a v-shaped bounce in the Dow chart. It makes a lovely plan.

Election week ahead: Bull vs Bear forces?

Isn't the government's covid management already in the price? (maybe you're in the US?......)

Election week ahead: Bull vs Bear forces?

Dunno. Its just going to be a bad outcome for my plan if the apparent loser takes it to court and we don't get a vigorous V-shaped bounce.
