The consequences of giving away the holy grail

Probably is the same guy - including the "likes" and some of the reply names. The content and flow of the discussion is bizarre and disconnected. Pure treacle.

Wizards of Today's Markets: Ray Cahnman

My apologies. I over reacted because I know Ray personally, and I am indebted to Ray's mentorship in the 1990's. He taught me how to Spread trade the yield curve.

So it occured to me that I'm a swing trading scalper

It has occurred to me through the benefit of reading through this thread that "swing traders" likely have a much more robust and mature trade (money) management skill set than other types of traders.

Platforms with ZERO charge (or very low charge) that allow you to trade exchange spreads

So, you've resurrected a post of mine made in 2002 just to keep this self-aggrandizing thread of yours going ? Yes, 14 years ago I thought the TT AutoSpreader was lacking in some areas. Since then, they have made a myriad of product improvements with the AS, especially as it relates to...

Wizards of Today's Markets: Ray Cahnman

Idiotic statement to make for someone you've clearly not known or met. He's a pure self-funded trader and not a fund manager.

So it occured to me that I'm a swing trading scalper

For most mere mortals that is simply not the case, as they have clearly not put in the effort towards trade (money) management as you might have.

So it occured to me that I'm a swing trading scalper

If you can consistently take money out of the markets, legally, over a protracted period of time, you have earned the right to label yourself any kind of trader you choose. Call yourself a turtle momentum scalping wizard or a psychic human algo bot - your call entirely.

is trading oil just trading the dollar

If you run the raw numbers for the CME Crude Oil futures contract and the ICE Dollar Index contract through correlation analyses, you definitely find enough variation in the on-the-run data to maybe not be so energetic about making a blanket statement. I went out to two years, and just the one...

Why doesn't the fed adjust rates more often, but in smaller increments?

I'm afraid that the Fed has gotten themselves in so deep with asset inflation QE.XXXX as a very poor dysfunctional analog to economic stimulus that faster unwinding would in their minds undo all the printing and buying and spinning that they've undertaken in recent history.

Wizards of Today's Markets: Ray Cahnman

Thanks Ray for making us wear those sick Salmon Pink trading jackets. And thanks for teaching me how to spread trade the curve. Ray has a heart of gold and he was and is very eager to teach others. I cleared my own account at TMG from 1993-1998. One of the smartest guys I have ever met in my...

Why doesn't the fed adjust rates more often, but in smaller increments?

Watch overnight repo rate and Eonia. Very micro structured but it does move every so slightly on a daily basis and on rare occasion.. every once in a blue moon... it really fucks with the swap market. Direct all your interest rate questions to Marty. Put his name straight in the header.

Why doesn't the fed adjust rates more often, but in smaller increments?

The US and European monetary policy apparatchik have so much advanced "telegraphing" built into their way of operating that by design it's vague to the public but already a known to the institutional players.

Propwarrior, all jabbing aside, go free with some discount broker if that's what you want to do. You've been warned. I hope it works out and you can tell us how good it is and what suckers we are. Good luck with things.
