Wrong again. Churches are not allowed to get involved in politics if they want to keep their tax exempt status. Same as for everyone else. If they want to give up their tax exempt status, they can preach whatever they like. Can't have your cake and eat it too.

What difference does it make? Shot is shot. Dead is dead. Getting all weepy about the enterovirus while maintaining that all these guns deaths are perfectly okay is not only inconsistent, it's hypocritical.

Notice how conservatives ignore the fact that over 7000 children a year are hospitalized or killed due to gun violence? Speaking of "real threats".

Perhaps not all that amazing. It's much easier to manipulate people if one can keep them fearful, and the rightwing media has elevated that to an art form. And when joblessness is high, wages are low, the recovery is stagnant, ordinary folks are ripe for that sort of thing.
