Look at today's crude oil market. today CL is not volatile. It is very trendy. 12 ticks max loss is very realistic. and for some not-so-spiky products like Germany, US, Italy bonds, max loss can be 10 ticks.

Luckily day traders are not worried about that. we are more interested to know if the market is trendy or not, and if the day range is going to be huge or not.

12 ticks max loss is quite possible. During the Trump era, I had to double that amount.

For ES, gold, crude oil ... futures contract, my max stop loss is $120 / contract

I actually update such info in my Journal in ET on regular basis. IB is very comprehensive; it covers quite a few Asian exchanges. For trading some products like Thailand products (eg SET50), you have to look for Asian broker to trade it.

Asian market (index futures, stocks ) is one of the best markets to day trade. During the Trump era, the Asian market was very tradable due to the trade war. Recently, China has been scrutinizing those big Chinese companies. And that moved to market massively.

when the price is at rock bottom, it doesn't mean it will go to the moon. Always remember that possibility of it going to the moon could be ZERO.

3 Sept US NFP trading interestingly/strangely, the best futures to trade (basically trendiness) are Eur index futures, copper and not US index futures.
