    "Have we now topped . . . " Part 2

Please be careful about in what context you use the term "trend". It's a powerful term that very few understand correctly. We would have much more work to do on the downside and on a sustained basis before you could legitimately state that we are in a long term "down trend". Short term, yes...

What happens to a buy market order if no one is selling?

Just to echo Patrick's post - I've personally always put tight control limits on my order settings. But hey, if it were a legit situation I'd be the guy to place an offer at ~ 4.5% above the last price print :D

Federal Court in Chicago Enters $14 Million Judgment against Options Trader for Fraudulent Options S

IMHO it was derelict that the proprietary trading firm's principals or risk officer didn't catch this right away. He was buying the options at a price point far cheaper than the settlement marks. Just very basic options knowledge and common sense would have caught it - a way, way-OTM option is...

    7 Figure traders

I was contacted several years ago by SMB and was asked to teach spread trading for them which I declined to do. Their roots are in stock trading courses and stock trading. I am not at all sure if these are the same firm principals. As a general side note there was in the past regulatory issues...

    legit futures prop firms?

I’m not aware of “tryouts”. But track records and references will take you very far. If by “legit” you mean a CME registered electronic proprietary trading firm that only risks the firm’s capital and traders are treated as employees - maybe call the CME and ask for a list of CME Rule 106.R...

    New NAFTA without Canada?

Apparently Mexico can but Canada cannot. And as a side note Mexico has some common ground qualms with Canada as well. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/nafta-canada-mexico-dispute-1.4817612

    New NAFTA without Canada?

My sense is that Trump is finding that Tariffs are NOT the unilateral bludgeon he had hoped for; likewise Trudeau is finding that his theatrical platitudes to the Canadian and US liberal base count for nothing in trade negotiations. It is the Executive Branch who negotiates trade Agreements...

    Finding an Edge

An "edge" is the system or methodology that allows you to consistently take money out of a market. From what I've seen "edges" are rarely durable and are usually highly personalized or unique to an individual. On the floor - an edge could be standing next to your brother-in-law who is filling...

The St. Louis Fed doesn't really agree with your assessment at all. In fact, in a March 2018 white paper the first sentence recites how important domestic manufacturing is to the US public. The Fed makes the case that US manufacturing is fundamentally strong...

I agree with you sentimental likeness towards Canada. Trudeau has for his part made a big mess for Canada with regards to the NAFTA negotiations, however. He needs to slowly wean both the US and Canada away from agricultural subsidies and save his auto industry IMHO.

    New NAFTA without Canada?

Trump is doing exactly what he told HIS (emphasis) voters he would do pretty much. He’s been stymied with The Wall but I’m sure he’s not done pushing for that.
