you were talking about trading yesterday US session. NQ is much worse than ES. the problem was not because NQ & ES were volatile. their movement was messy, chaotic, jerky .... Nikkei was also volatile. But Nikkei was very trendy and hence easier to earn $.

Simply remove all the MA lines. Then there are no crossovers and you don't need to think about it. Those lines depend on what parameters you choose. and there is no such thing as one-size-fits-all parameters. Most trading books were written by traders who didn't spend thousands and thousands...

we can trade VIX futures. however, I stopped subscribing to the CBOE data feed as the Vix futures volume was rather low. There are quite a few financial instruments that have very low volume (worse zero volume).
