    But what about copper ?

OK, you got your 3 pennies with March '14 hitting $3.33 for the high. Of course, this news out of Asia propelled the metal upward (or did it just generate more short covering ?)...

    But what about copper ?

Thanks for the comment, but uh.....I could not determine if it was bullish or bearish. What do you mean by "break" ? Break-up ?

Gartman says gold is going loooooower

2 weeks ago Gartman was bullish on Copper and Steel. They're going nowhere unless inflation takes off. If you act on his recs, be ready to reverse at any time.

Is counter trend trading a disease?

Keith Fitchen's backtesting showed that countertrend trading works well on intraday time-frames. In other words, daytrading trends is a losing game.

    But what about copper ?

Gold teetering on the brink at the $1200 level. The red metal down a few cents this morning. So much for the reflationary theme. I knew that was stupid after a Bloomberg article entitled "paying more with less": Last 5 years: Median Income ..........down 7% College Tuition/Fees...up 28%...

    But what about copper ?

Here is another Dennis Gartman-like appraisal of the copper market: http://www.marketwatch.com/story/forget-the-taper-focus-on-copper-2013-12-16 No question it could happen, but its going to take a lot of inflation for that scenario to pan-out. Given the tenuous job market and lack of wage...

    But what about copper ?

Interesting Report: http://www.cmegroup.com/education/files/copper-gearing-up-for-rebound-in-2014.pdf Note what happens when inventory levels rise. Recently inventory levels have decreased, but note how soft the price as become....relatively speaking. In the past, such a decrease would have...

    But what about copper ?

I'm always early to the party it seems.:D I was shorting IWM back in 2007 before the big swoon. Seems were are in a similar period now. Copper is now in a fairly profound CONTANGO (sorry, not backwardation....that's normal). December delivery is up 2.5 cents while March is only up a penny...

We're Headed To $8 Natural Gas

EIA report out recently shows lower demand estimates..... and the market is already in a steep backwardation. It's made a heckuva run since November....with no significant pullbacks.

    But what about copper ?

One would think that equity markets might also be correlation factor for copper. THINK AGAIN. Over the past few days equities are down, but copper is holding it's own. March contract hit $3.31 this morning.

    But what about copper ?

Morning Copper Market Report Wed 11 Dec 2013 07:29:35 CT Not surprisingly, the copper market continued to rise yesterday and in the process the March contract reached up to the highest level since December 3rd. Part of the gains in copper came from favorable currency market action and some...

    But what about copper ?

Dennis Gartmann on Fast Money last night: bullish on steel and copper saying economies of the world should continue to recover. Wait a minute Dennis...isn't this so-called recovery going into it's 7th year now ? That's already a long time. At this point, I'd say anything in the way of a...
