Blocked from trading by 'Pattern Day Trader' restriction...

Have you thought of doing your day trading at a prop firm? You can start with $10k (some $5k) and there is no PDT and increased leverage for more buying power. Just a suggestion.

Chill out. What legal advice did I give? I don't think advising him to hire an attorney is giving legal advice.

    Tower Hill Trading

Most of them are pretty standard. Only Tower Hill makes you sign your life away. And maybe they are not enforceable....but you will need to spend thousands of dollars on an attorney to prove it. After all, you did sign a contract.

    Tower Hill Trading

From what I heave heard Tower Hill is very aggressive with the non-compete that you sign. If you ever plan on trading anywhere else beware. And since they start you trading only 10 shares you will never make any money and leave. Then they will attempt to bar you from trading anywhere else...

    List Of Remote Prop Firms

Seems to be just an old subgroup of Hold. If you click on the link on the front page to email them it gives you a Hold email address. I don't think Hold has US traders anymore

    List Of Remote Prop Firms

Maverick Trading isn't a prop firm. It is an education firm which in my opinion should be avoided. Current list of US firms (alphabetical): Bright Trading Chimera JC Trading Group T3

    WTS, EchoTrade, T3 - Leave a Review

The problem with these education firms is that there is absolutely no clarity as to what you are getting into in terms of trading or training. 1. You have no idea how much of your money that you just spent on education that you can lose. Ask them up front. They won't tell you. And you...

    Some questions from newcomer

Evo, What firm charged you $1,000 for the Series 56?!?!? JC Trading Group only requires $300 total. The breakdown is $200 for the exam and $100 for finra registration. Why would it be $1000???

The funny thing is that these "education" firms try to vilify prop firms by saying that they don't have the traders best interest in mind because they just care about making commissions of the traders. However, the "education" firms take your money to watch their videos and then charge you a...

Mav, It is sustainable because these guys are really good salesman and there is a sucker born every minute. They prey on people by promising them that they will make so much money as traders. I went through a sales meeting at OTA and it was unbelievable high pressure sales tactics...

Wrong! No prop firm can churn an account. Churning is: the practice of executing trades for an investment account by a salesman or broker in order to generate commission from the account. No prop firm (at least legit ones) execute trades on your behalf. The trader has to push the...

They are successful because they market their product well with promises of wealth and turning them into successful traders. Ask for audited returns of the success of their recruits. They won't give them to you. Ask them for specific details ahead of time of how much of "your money" you can...

All those things you list can be taught in 100 different books. PM and I will suggest a few. I agree that sitting on a trading floor with successful traders is a benefit. But these "education" firms market mostly to remote. This is because all you are doing is watching stale old videos...
