Best broker for margin on ES credit spreads

Looking to dump IB and Schwab. Looking for someone with cheap commissions, too. Good overnight margin is what I seek

Yes, I have heard this. Trade U.S. markets (hours)? I lived in Sydney for four years and trading U.S. was hell. And wasn't the old editor of the Gloom, Doom and Boom Report based in Chang Mi?

    And, yeah, I know it's a five-year-old link.

    Interactive brokers raising vix margin

Does anyone know who this broker is or was? I'm shopping around. The VIX spread margins at the majors don't seem to make sense given the size of the contract.

    VIX spread margin at IB

I think I am getting about 2X SPAN at my current broker, or about $13K on a M1:M2 short spread. Is it the same at IB? If so, is that because it is VIX?

    VIX and Margin

Trading a VIX futures spread, short M1-long M2, and my margin is about half of the long position, or $13K. Isn't this high for SPAn margin? Or is it portfolio/Reg T because of the VIX's unusual index characteristics and it's a CBOE, rather than CME, product, if that means anything?

    Residency issue

Ok, I presently live in California, but I plan on spending six months of the year in Vancouver, B.C. Is there a way I can parlay this into somehow not being a California resident? Spend a couple weeks to and from Vancouver in Seattle? Get rid of the CA license, etc. File taxes with a Canadian...

    Another accounting question

Yeah, the sweep thing is the wrinkle, I think. Will examine. I also wonder what an actual professional audit would cost me, not that I am about to register or anything. I just want to make sure I am doing it the industry-accepted way, and not, perhaps, fooling myself.

    Another accounting question

Background: I use Schwab, for better and worse, for both equities and futures, and because it is one account, the cash flows back and forth between them nightly, when needed. I know I should separate the two. I also take withdrawals, to complicate things further. Now, to calculate combined and...

    Correlation calculator

I have a couple dogs I want to sell at the end of the year, but need a couple of other stocks with very high correlations to hold the position for 30 days for tax reasons. Is there a free calculator any where in which I can just type in the stock I own and it will give me a list of stocks with...

    Looking for a math term

(It's not, I think, one of the Greeks or minor Greeks, but I posted here thinking this group might be more mathematically minded.) Anyway, is there a term for the phenomena by which a call going into the money (or a stock or future rising) will do so slower than a put going ITM (or stock or...
