Excellent post. Especially the last paragraph. That's always baffled me.

You're right.... Usually the only time you see the older ones stay in the game is because they have a nice fat alimony check coming in from their first marriage, so they have more staying power to hang out in the more exclusive circles... But if they don't have that first marriage by...

I tend to agree with Rally and MingSphinx on this one.

Are you TudorJones' newest alias by any chance? http://elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=121200

Great thread. LMAO@ the suggestions. Ensign Charts let you program custom pop ups with messages on them for whenever you want them to. I think they allow 10-15 or so, and you can change them whenever you want.

Once Up for Day - I go into Protection Mode

Redneck, Just wanted to say something: I am thoroughly convinced that you should change your name to "Southern Gentleman Trader". You have the best manners of anyone on this forum by far I must say. I'm from MS and therefore somewhat of an expert on the oft overlooked variations...

Another good point. This crgarcia character also seems to be serious, whereas usually after a few posts from apak/c-kid/cold you can figure out he is being facetious.

Anyone here of this guy before?...

From his site: Within five years, Town had built a borrowed $1,000 into $1 million. His fortunes improved radically, and rapidly, from then on. How in the hell could someone turn $1000 into $1MM in five years by value investing? Shit, you can't even get that kind of leverage from a...

Anyone here of this guy before?...

He wrote a book on value investing a couple years ago...and he was a speaker for Investools...that in and of itself is a red flag to me. Seems based on what you said he is already hawking a new method as the "next best thing"... I'd steer clear in that case.

That's a good point, I definitely see the similarities now that you mention it.

After reading your posts on ET, I am thoroughly convinced you have a mental disability of some sort. One minute you are a short term daytrader, then you are a money manager, then you realize only value investors can survive in the market, then you want to be a stockbroker. Have you...

:D For example, if talknet had been shot at a few times as a youth, he most likely would realize the stupidity of posting shit like this: http://elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=151909

Well, much respect brother. Yes you did and thanks for your service, even though it was before I was even born. ha ha I think everyone SHOULD give back to their country. It is the best country on this planet. Bar none. That is definitely NOT what I meant, for the record. I just don't like...

    Tax, smokers,fatasses and drunks.

True, but then it incentivizes people to be more healthy, eat better, and live longer... Which means shit tons less revenue for the fast food industry, tobacco corporations, and the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry. Also, people living longer will increase the burden on the...

Obama can instill civic responsibility – through a mandatory Youth Corps

Asking for people to give back is one thing...MAKING them do it is another matter entirely. P.S. You called me a lazy freeloading fucking coward for my views...I did my service, what about you?
