Quote from Avi 8: Describe for me what is continuation after the 1550 bar? P.S. Do we still need to see the diagram posted again? Padawan: We might. Continuation is increasing volume and increasing price. Formations also mean continuation. Hence, I am confused. Sorry...

Thanks for sharing Avi8. I'm wondering why you expect change when there's a pennant formation? Is it because that bar has lower volume after the previous bar broke out of a lateral movement area on increasing volume? Or is it because you automatically think "expect" change on all pennants (you...

    Iterative Refinement

The specific anticipated outcome from a FTT is a channel BO and the formation of a traverse channel in the opposite direction. We did not have WMCN for that anticipated outcome. If we identified the 10:35 bar as change and reversed long, the 10:40 bar does not provide a signal to reverse short...

    Iterative Refinement

Very helpful. The market provides way more clues than I realize at times, and it's a matter of being detailed and thorough with M and A (and having some fine guidance to show what's possible :)). WMCN after the FTT would be non-dominant price movement back to the RTL on decreasing volume...

With regard to the channel's validity using the 10:38 bar as point 3 up, I thought it was ok to see increasing red temporarily when moving from a pt 2 to pt3 of an up channel. In this example, we had lateral movement within the 10:32 bar (and the 10:34 bar) to arrive at the uncertain bar point...

This walk-through is very cool. At 1036 the YM approached and reacted off the 20 SMA on decreasing volume creating a spike bar. The 20 SMA is helping to contain price much like a RTL. Context clues that suggest the change on YM might not materialize on ES: 1) There has yet to be a VE...

    Iterative Refinement

As you can tell, I didn't think about that in real-time (nor in hindishgt :)). I always got in trouble before trying to anticipate moves from pt 1 to pt 2 after an FTT because the pt 3 would often never materialize, or because the FTT was a point 3 and not a point 1. I see what you mean...

Ok, thank you. I was seeing that movement up as a tape for some reason. I can see now it is an accelerated channel on YM and not a tape (subtle differences, lol). The 1032 YM bar can't be a point 3 up, so we see how the two accelerated channels form the traverses of the larger down channel...

Atari, excellent. Sorry it's taken a while to back to you. Thanks for the drill and the response. This is really eye-opening. Looking back, the previous bar at 1030 was an OB and a pennant BO on increasing volume. Then we got more increasing red (which broke the lat movement) at 1032...

ES chart. The discussions have been really fantastic. I just need to drill the lessons into the brain. Thank you so much, everyone. While I'm not quite there yet, the fog is clearing each day and it's exciting.

Munck, the symbol limit still applies. "... QCharts 6.0 versions and future releases will all have a symbol limit. The default symbol limit is 200 for QCharts subscribers and 500 for QCharts Plus."

Hi Atari, My attempt- ES 1035 peak volume, ftt, spike bar/change/reverse long YM 1034 fbp w/decreasing volume, WMCN didn’t (needed more IRV), ftt, previous bar peak volume/change/reverse long ES 1040 decreasing volume, fbp (lookout for tendency to break down)/continue/hold long...

Hi Munck, I use about 100 or so stocks in one quotesheet. Maybe you're referring to culling the entire stock market. I'm not there yet. I just do a quick check of the stocktables stocks, checking for 65 day avg volume, positive eps, and float and that's all I use QCharts for. Although it...

    Iterative Refinement

Third way = P+, V+ That's just what I thought, at least (so beware :D). Although I recognized change at 1540 (close of), I was still considering the possibility of a pt3 down until the 1555 bar, which wasn't correct.

Thanks, brandx. Sorry it's taken so long to respond. I'll check and see if I'm having the same problems with charting in 5.1. So far I've only been using the QCharts quotesheet for quick checks of the fundamental criteria. Couldn't do so in 6.0 because the volume was so off. I use Ninja or...
