Since GainsKeeper has partnered with TurboTax which will assist with cost basis, is there any benefit of also having GainsKeeper?
(I am looking for a software that will best handle capital gains/ losses, calculate wash sales, and show max loss/ minimal profit, and simplify everything with...
Does Turbotax or any other software instantly calculate different scenarios (like FIFO or LIFO) to determine which will give the maximum benefit for your taxes?
Puretruth,
What you claim has occurred by those other traders, and what you are alleging occurred by Mark, seem to me two totally different things. Has Mark made any false claims? Has he promoted himself on Elite Trader? It seems he promotes himself elsewhere and lets people know he...
Puretruth,
Not exactly sure where you're coming from. Nothing was being promoted on ET, you just did some research to find out that yes, he actually works for a living! If that's called a violation of anything (and I couldn't imagine how such a thing could even come to question), then yes...
Mark, you seem knowledgeable, so I hope you don't mind me asking this: From your own observations and experience: A) which of the economic reports tends to put the market on FREEZE before the information comes out (other than holidays, and other than interest rates with the Fed)? B) which...
Mark, thank you much.
Looking at the site forexfactory.com, I noticed the red, orange, and yellow color denominations. It seems to me red means big impact--however, they mean "big impact" only RE: the currency type mentioned to the left, correct?
Thank you much, makes sense to me.
It would seem to me the former comment you make about declining volume is a cause of concern regarding potential end of rally; in the latter statement you express optimism this week; is the latter based on historical info?
Maler, this is your quote on the other thread:
I sense what you're saying (or something similar to this syndrom) is VERY true and happy you are confirming this. Is there any way for us to prove it?
I want to suggest that those long lines of bids and asks are made by market makers, and at a particular point when they decide to move the stock up or down, they merely remove their bid or ask (with a buy between accounts or otherwise), and leave you as a sitting duck--and THAT's how you or me...
When a stock trades e.g. at $1.09 bid and $1.10 ask for most of the day, with large size bids and asks, do you agree that for most stocks it's almost futile to try to sell at the ask, and b) once you finally can sell at the ask is the best indication the stock is just about to leap forward...
I would imagine they really knew what was going on... It would seem to me the cover up was to their advantage to enable HUGE salaries and HUGE bonuses for as long as possible; does anyone ever give this reason??
