    Is this illegal?

I know this was not the intention of this thread but, since the subject of wash trades has been raised.... does anyone know what the result of Swifttrade being charged with trading with itself was? I know that the NASDR had filed charges against them but I never heard anything after that. They...

    Level II

DATT, I haven't noticed ILND anywhere yet but what about CINN. I've got that everywhere. I know that CINN is the symbol for the Cincinnati exchange and Island posts there now but is CINN soesable? If so I did not know that, .... shit! Thanks for the heads up if that is the case, I don't...

    Level II

Tony, Notice how the chart states that some brokerages have INCA book available on L2 now. Well those that do show sub-penny INCA bids and offers. I use them everyday, and it is important to know where these bids/offers are so that you don't cross them and end up paying a direct INCA buy/sell...

    Level II

ISLD, ARCA, INCA, REDI, most of the ECNs allow sub-penny bids/offers. Although these sub- penny bids/offers may not appear on some level II screens (ie those without integrated books) they are still present. Right now with Supersoes these sub-penny bids obviously can't be hit be a soes order...

    Level II

Scalpa, Dude, does your level II platform not have integrated ECN books! And you are a Scalpa? You should have at minimal the Island and Inca books integrated into and viewable on your level II. Beyond that it is often useful to see the other books but can make things a little too busy...

    Questrade

Dude you've got S.A.D.D. (Stock Attention Deficit Disorder)! 20 stocks a day, dude you get around. Given that though, you are absolutely right... Questrade's deal definitely would not suit you. At $50 / stock/ day clearing that's a G-note a day for clearing. Doesn't make sense. I think this...

    Questrade

    Questrade

So the trader would invoice Questrade for the GST on the withdrawal eg). -Trader wants to remove $1000 in accumulated profit, invoices Questrade $1000 + GST = $1070 -$1000 would come out of traders profit as a consulting fee, trader would charge Quest GST and then be responsible for...

Odd-Lot Short Sales on the rise

Chas, Is this suppossed to signify the bear is dying? If I remember correctly (and I probably don't), is it the odd lot theory that says when odd lot volume increases in one direction go the other way?. Isn't odd lot volume increase suppossed to idicate the presence of dumb money ( small...

Bigs, Take the numbers for Swifttrade guys and do the math. You'll find that some guys who make a good living trading under the Swifttrade model would get crushed trading under the Quest deal. However, some guys could improve their income dramatically. Not without risk, but...

    TO: All LIQUIDITY TRADERS

I was just thinking about this again Newbie and I do have a good piece of advice for you. In one of my earlier posts when I referred to liquidity trading as NOT being like 'picking money up off the street', I was wrong! It is exactly like 'picking money up off the street', thing is, went you are...

    Questrade

This whole subject area is obviously a hot one. Funny how everyone seems to have some kind of bias toward one firm or another. I guess that is because everyone wants to think that the choice that they make is some how the smartest and that their choice some how reflects their IQ or their trading...

    TO: All LIQUIDITY TRADERS

My take on your situation is that you are a new trainee at Swifttrade. I would like to help you out and give you some golden advice that would help you to start kicking ass and making a G-note a day but unfortunately they have already given you all the secrets there are to this type of trading...
