    Selling Put vs Buying Calls

The 2 strategies, Selling Puts and Buying Calls, don't they have the same objective as the trader is bullish about the market and hope the stock price will increase?

    Short Call trading strategy

So the intended money making opportunity comes from the premium received if the stock stays flat? To make money when the stock drops, the strike price and in this case the SELL price must be higher then the market stock price upon expiry? Great if someone can give examples.

    Short Call trading strategy

For the short call strategy, does it assume that the trader does not own the stock when the trade is entered? What is the trading objective for this strategy?

    Bull Call Spread

What is the profit objective for this strategy? To set up this trade, you end up with a debit balance, sounds very strange to me.

Options upon expiry - In the money

I'm new to options trading. Let's say i buy a CALL option and upon expiry its in the money, what happens after that? Will my options be automatically exercised or will my options position be automatically closed? I am using Thinkorswim, if that helps.

    Extreme Volatility

At times of extreme volatility, how often is it for a stock price to zoom up or down thereby missing your intended price point? Is the likelihood of this happening more if one trades in higher volumes (e.g. 5,000 shares instead of 50 shares)?

If i were to sell (write) a Call option and it expires in 3 weeks time, am i obligated to hold on to this position until expiry date? Am i allowed to 'close' (i.e. buy a Call option) before the expiry date?

    Identifying a possible option strategy

All along i have only been selling (or writing) a Call at, for this example, at $110. Hoping that the stock price stays below $110 so that the option expires worthless and receiving the premiums. However, this single one-legged trade is quite risky as A) its a naked position B)if the stock...

Iron Condor using TOS - Profits and Losses

If i were to enter a iron condor trade using TOS, i understand that once my order is filled, I will receive credit $$ in my account. Does that mean that the % amount and $ amount i see under Profits and Losses (under the Monitor tab) is irrelevant?

Iron Condor - Credit received vs. Profit in Analyse chart

One other thing, for TOS, since this is an iron condor trade, can i assume that the profit and loss figures under the Profits and Losses under the monitor tab means nothing?
