Just wondered about the use of futures by Canadian feedlots? Would a long cad future and short cattle future follow local cash markets closely. Is this common practice like in the grain markets?

You could try an out of the money call calendar spread, maybe out a few months. The further out option will increase at a greater rate than the closer to expiry option, making it a cheap source of gamma

My IB data source say that the front month option was worth more that the back month option a few times on the ES 800 dec/nov call spread. Does anyone else have the same data from a different source? The way that skews are getting out of hand it could lead to so good r/r on calenders.

fyi I asked for a gold price in Guelph on Friday and was quoted $C1025 an once. They showed me the one ounce bar and said they had many others in stock. They also said that they were out of silver because of a refining problem but would have in in shortly.
