1%\day average trading USD/CAD over the next year.

Friendly Tip The Canadian Dollar is a petro-currency - It follows the price of oil. :)

I would go with the weeklies. Don't pay for time premium you don't need. :)

IB ACH Deposit initiated by Bank

Can't you add IB as a "payee" in your regular bank account? I'm with TD and BMO and the payee list is very extensive - but I haven't checked to see if IB is included. EDIT: I just checked and both Bank of Montreal and TD bank have INTERACTIVE BROKERS CANADA INC on the payee list. I assume...

Why don't they just split the stocks? ($AMZN $GOOG)

I hope not ....... option traders need $500+ stocks such as GOOGL, AMZN, PCLN. :)

    Is Options Trading Investing?

Selling options is just as risky as buying options. :)

    Is Options Trading Investing?

Speculative is defined as "involving a high risk of loss". Option trading involves a high risk of loss due to its leverage - hence brokers disclaimers warning all potential clients about the risks with options. :)

    Is Options Trading Investing?

Option trading is not investing. Option trading is Speculative. :)

    Monday Weekly options

The product in question (Monday SPX weekly option) does not trade until tomorrow - August 15, 2016, so any impact they have on the Friday weeklies is unknown at this time. But with a daily volume of almost 1,000,000 contracts I doubt the Friday SPX weeklies will be affected. :)

any broker with no pattern day trading rules

How does the PDT rule protect anyone? Why is opening and closing a trade in one day considered more risky than holding overnight? Why is a less-than $25,000 account considered more risky than a greater-than $25,000 account? :)

    basic question - expiration ITM

99% of option traders have no intention of trading the underlying. The idea behind an IC is to let the legs expire worthless. Assignment of a ITM option is NOT AN OPTION. :)

    basic question - expiration ITM

    Initial credit $30.00 Debit required to close $120.00 - $70.00 = $50.00 PnL minus $20.00 :)

    basic question - expiration ITM

The intrinsic value is $0.15, but the ask is $1.20. You have to close the ITM short option so you are pretty well stuck with the ask. You could try a limit order lower than the ask but your priority is to buy-to-close the ITM option before expiry. :)

TSLA earnings Wednesday August 03, after the bell. PCLN August 04.

Good trade atrp2biz. Short strangles during earnings definitely isn't my cup of tea. TSLA trading flat as of now ($226.24) - very rare to see that for a tech company after earnings. My long 250.00 calls will expire worthless. :)

TSLA earnings Wednesday August 03, after the bell. PCLN August 04.

Today is the big day. Since PCLN reports Thursday before the bell any earnings related trades will have to be opened today. :)

    Covered Call Trading Tools

ITM options don't fit in with Covered Calls. CC's are long stock plus OTM calls, you want the OTM calls to expire worthless. :)
