    Amzn

Looks vulnerable to a selloff. Especially with retail sales a bit underwhelming. Even if Xmas sales are good, the prime sales season is drawing to a close so why buy Amazon?

does the money make you happy?

I wouldn't consider this to be a post by someone who knows much of anything.

    Spoos Bull Trap?

The major indexes haven't been able to move higher and are changing from pennants in an uptrend to rolling over. Quite a few individual issues look like they've already begun to roll over. Even though the Fed's latest hike and accompanying language were pretty much telegraphed in advance, I...

Is that it for the stock mkt rally?

:D I would enjoy the excitement if not the ultimate results!

Is that it for the stock mkt rally?

The Fed announcement met positive expectations as far as language, the GDP is strong, and inflation numbers (not just today's CPI) actually look very good. The election in Iraq appears to be going well. But we can't rally. Soon, everyone will be hungover from office parties and...

1261.47 to 1259.38, down 2.09. Bad call today. Hats off to rubberbird for making the right call.

Nah. rubberbird gave an opinion contrary to my call right away and he was right. Nothing wrong with that.

SP500, Nasdaq negative - NYSE Comp positive

Russell 1000 negative, Russell 2000 positive. Are small caps going to prop up the market here? Any comments?

800k to lose jobs next year due to housing

Greenspan and his pack of idiots don't even pay lip service to a "soft landing" anymore. I'm pretty confident that they will have the economy in recession a year from now.

S&P500 at 1253 one hour before close

Thanks, reno. Yeah, it might carry over into tomorrow morning. Maybe just the first half hour, though. The way the Greenspan and the Fed keep grumbling about inflation I wouldn't be surprised if we're flat for the rest of '05.

I expect this will be the last post on this thread. If the market had closed flat or lower, the usual 5-star assholes would be all over this thread. :D
