No price shot up from there. But look at my chart that I just posted at 12:36. Price has come back down to the trendline and is resting again which is also in the area of yesterdays close.

Here's another update. From the looks of the chart now, the trendline is being penetrated compared to how accurately it was respected before. Each trader will learn what this means to him. To me it means, things are getting sloppy. Of course I don't know if it will break down from here...

So here's the update so far. Price has come back to the trendline, again, and is holding.

I usually hold a trade 1 - 5 days. When I happen to be near my computer during the day and see a potential for 15 - 20 pts I'll scalp. Thanks for the concern.

Not "as well as". Either, or. And they are just a few of many ways that one could use the line.

Here is a scalp from this morning. The 3rd circle, 3rd pause at the line, with cosolidation of bars at the line told me it is respecting the line. When it broke higher it told me that it may be breaking out. Took profit based on futures chart at some prior congestion area.

One could do that. I won't though because it is too steep of a trendline and I feel that the one drawn will have more significance. thanks.

Trendlines are another way of looking at support or resistence. Support and resistence shows itself time and time again. "showing itself time and time again" is what we look for in trading.
