    ES fill price anomaly question

In your earlier post you were talking about "last" hitting a number. The thing that you need to understand is that "last" is the last contract trade price. It is not the current bid and ask. Your orders will be filled based on the current bid and ask and not the last price. For example if...

IB stop loss triggered AND executed outside of trading range

The last time I checked with the CME a few months back, the maximum "spread" between the stop and limit was 12 points. It changes periodically. I remember being able to have a 20 point spread between the stop and limit price. If you enter a spread larger than the maximum, your order will not...

GAME OVER for FX dealers ?

You have a couple of options. You can subscribe to a charting package which includes the CME data for the symbols that you want to chart such as E-Signal or Tradestation or you can use IB's data to chart the data with a program such as Sierra Chart or Quote Tracker.

GAME OVER for FX dealers ?

Try using EUR as the base symbol. $.0001=$12.50. The E7 is the mini contract where $.0001=$6.25. If I recall, when I looked at the E7 contract, there was not much volume as compared to EUR.

TWS - any way to customize OCA length?

You might want to consider using Bracket Trader or Ninja Trader. Those programs do exactly what you are asking for.

    Tradestation vs. IB

It is difficult to make an apples to apples comparison between the two because with TS7 you are required to pay a $99 per month platform fee for the charting and backtesting capabilities. IB has no charting, but there are third party venders such as Sierra Charts and Quotetracker which provide...

    IB order question(newbie with IB)

You can close your positions right off of the screen. Make sure the position column shows 0 after your order is filled and you can be reasonably sure that you have closed your position. As long as your order actually offsets your position it will be recognized as offsetting.

Connecting two Dell Flat Panel LCD's

I recently purchased a Matrox P650 card which is a dual DVI (digital) card. I am very happy with it. Very easy installation and set up as well as excellent crisp display on both monitors. The P650 card is the next generation card that is a step up from the G550.

    Automated TWS startup

Thanks def, I think you are right. I noticed the SSL option now and that might be causing the problem. I will look into it.

    Automated TWS startup

I've been using TWS Start successfully for the last few months. Starting yesterday I have not been able to get it to work. Anyone else having similar problems? It is possible that my problems started when I downloaded the lastest version of TWS. I am using Build 806.3.

Upgrading from Win 98 to 2000 Pro

Do a search on google or yahoo "installing windows 2000". You will come up with several step-by-step articles. I am not a computer whiz either, but by following the articles I located on the web was able to do successfually do a clean install of Win 2000 pro on my machine.

    IB Quote problems today

If you have a native stop order in, your stop should get you out of the market moves that far. I have never tried to place an order when the quotes are out, so I don't know if it is possible to do so on the software, but there is always the option of phoning in your order if you are desperate.
