His dropdowns are small because he only allocated 2-5% of his capital the trades yet still 20-50x his money. If anything, he is betting sub-optimally by Kelly and leaving money on the table.
I am looking into this more closely. Yeah, he has lost money on some trades but if he can make a 10-50x...
I have no idea, it does sound too good to be true, yet we do have proof before our eyes. but I will be paying closer attention to the 0-day NDX options though.

Healthcare stocks are great. Tons of sick, obese Americans. Lots of $ from employers coughing up $ to pay for it all. Insurance is a great business, especially health insurance. Jack up those rates annually way higher than inflation.
the djia is a beast. it shows the power of having an index composed of only the best stocks and by periodically removing the weak ones. It does better than hedge funds, active mangers who have entire teams of PhDs making 7 figure trying to figure this stuff out.
Markets have gap risk on Sundays. You sell the straddle on the weekdays after the market close, usually an hour (after major companies have reported earnings). And cover the position before the open at either 7:30 AM or 6:30 (depending if there is news). The CPI is always released an hour before...
AFIK, the ES/NQ has not had an overnight swing of more than 1.5% since June 2022 . It stays within a .5% range from 6:00 PM (when afterhours trading stops) and 7:30 (market open).
If there is data like CPI, then instead of 7:30, it would be 6:30.
