    Poker and the Beginning Trader

My story too. I am not exactly hooked though, haven't played for several weeks. Just got a $50 bonus from Paradise though, so I will be back at it soon. Interestingly enough, I am net positive by a few hundred playing poker, and net negative by many thousands trading.

    Poker and the Beginning Trader

I got a royal flush on Party a while back. All I could talk them out of was a baseball cap. Did win a few bucks, as one of the other players had a lesser non straight flush. :D

    Shreveport, LA -- Ugh!!

Go to the Bossier Strip. Life will improve. My cousins are all married, or I would help you out. I graduated high school just 30 miles south of Shreveport, in Mansfield. There is not much going on in Shreveport for sure, but go across the river and things will get better. They even...

IB, options in pennies ?? question--

Do you mean you can't offer/bid between the spread, or do you mean you must bid/offer in nickel increments. That is, spread is $1.10 x $1.20, can you bid/offer at $1.15?

Why FX limit orders within spread unallowed ?

So who do you trade with to get around this problem? I had read something somewhere about an ECN type FX broker, but I don't remember exactly what it was about.

    Specialist system and alternatives....

Re: NYSE Tradethrough report. What a self serving, skewed report this thing is. The gap that McSweeney is so piously pointing out exists solely BECAUSE of the trade through rule. Eliminate that rule, in six months time (or less) there will be no gap. If liquidity on NYSE stocks appears...

    Poker and the Beginning Trader

There has been a lot of discussion about whether the games are rigged online. Many folks have tens of thousands of hand histories, and they report that the distrubitiion turns out to be pretty much what you would expect from a random shuffle. My take is that they are not rigged. When you...

    Help on graphics card problem

I am having trouble with my windows this morning. I can close, open, maximize or minimize them, but I cannot move or resize them. Rebooting didn't solve the problem. I have Matrox G400 AGP dual head, and a G200 PCI dual head. They worked fine til this morning. Well except that the...

    Qcharts/Quote.com website is maddening

Anybody still using Qcharts deserves what they get. :D

    do we have any lobbyists?

It is a crooked game we play. Somehow, we have to cheat the cheaters, or ride thier backs. Don't ask me how, I don't know.

why do stocks move so slowly

Super low volitility. There ain't no bubble buyers, and the dipheads haven't caught on yet to the fact that the market is rotten to the core. There will be some movement one of these days, and I'll guess it will be to the downside. In the meantime, we have start... stop... jump... wait...

Esignal just as horrible as ever

The difference is: Qcharts is a poor program with poor support. E-signal is a good program with poor (to speak kindly) support. What we want is a good program with good support. That is a knowlegable tech who picks up the phone now. Especially since we pay the dime to call. My idea...

Esignal just as horrible as ever

E-signal is a good (great) product, until you have a problem. Then the support structure is awful. You (e-signal) know the support is terrible, but you all dutifully trot out the platitudes anytime someone complains. Lest there be any ambiguity..... E-signal support sucks.
