Why would you not want to webscrape? Because the API is specifically designed to provide access. If done correctly, the way you communicate with it is independent of the changes that IB makes on their end. I shudder to think how often a webpage changes (even if it looks the same).

How can you tell it is sim without a doubt just by looking at it? I've never used NT on a live account, so I don't know if things show up differently than they do on sim.
