    Volume data from IB API

Thanks for your reply. Yes, most equities are X100, but not all. BRK-B (Berkshire Hathaway), for example, is X10.

    Volume data from IB API

Hi, I am reading volume data from the API, but there is a multiplier that needs to be applied to get the actual volume. Different instruments seem to require different multipliers. Anyone know how to get that? Can it be done through the API, or do you have to read it manually from somewhere?

who offers a really good data api?

I am using a feed with API from one of the dealer room data providers. It costs me about $400 per month right now, but I got it in a non-standard way. Now they want to increase the fee I pay, to somewhere around $1000 per month, which I wouldn't be able to afford. The sales guy tells me they...

    IB API questions...

Could there be a way to programatically click the OK button on the confirmation popup? Or maybe trap the window and call the function that submits Ok to the API?

Ugh... Java API to comprehensive data

E-Signal only seems to have an ActiveX API, which I don't know anything about. I believe it is possible to build a Java interfcace to activeX-- any ideas as to whether this would be scalable? As for RealTick.... seem to be a lot of posts on this board that say it goes down frequently, has...

Ugh... Java API to comprehensive data

Looking and looking.... either the vendor doesn't have a Java API or the data quality is low. I'm willing to spend up to several hundred $s per month, not incl exchange fees. In fact I found Moneyline/Telerate would give me a feed at $375/mo, but getting them to talk to me, just to ask...

    NYSE vs TSX

One reason percent changes on different exchanges may vary is a change in the exchange rate. Post the exchange rates that were current at the time of the trades and let's see if this makes the difference. q
