    Profit question

Here is the option data for TSLA for right now. Let's say I think the price in a week will be 890 (and it actually hits that price): If I buy the strike 855: Breakeven: 882.95 Profit: 890 - 882.95 = 7.05 % Profit: 7.05/27.95 = 25.22% If I buy the strike 820: Breakeven: 866 Profit: 890 - 866...

    More newbee option questions

At the moment nothing special, I've had good results by sticking to analyzing industries I know and buying those stocks I think are underpriced. So I wish to do the same but now using options for leverage.

    More newbee option questions

I've been trading stocks for well over ten years, I work in risk in the banking industry and I design risk algorithms for a living (just not related to the stock market). I thought I'd throw this in to show I'm not a complete newbie, just new to options, and wanted to discuss with people who...

    More newbee option questions

Thank you all. When I spoke about absolutes I know these are not possible but I was trying to hold other variables in the equation constant to understand the impact of certain items. Let me ask a few new questions which should get to the bottom of what I'm trying to find out. 1) If I have a...

    More newbee option questions

Sorry I never said I was using NinjaTrader. Lets forget NinjaTrader and go back to what I mentioned in my first post. I've heard people are using IB (Interactive Brokers) with Kinetick data. How is this possible, or did I hear wrong? I'm currently using the IB API for my strategy. But I...

How to use a different datafeed to the broker

Sorry I'm a bit confused. So to use Kinetic data, you must use NinjaTrader? Then you said the orders are submitted to IBKR (Interactive Broker?) So doesn't this cause the problem that your data is from once source but the price the broker sees when placing the order may be something else?

How to use a different datafeed to the broker

I've read a lot of people using are using IB for order execution and Kinetick for data feed. How is this possible? If the Kinetick data feed shows 1.1245 and you decide to place an order, you are still putting the order through IB and would get whatever price IB has not Kinetick, so what's the...
