Software Used to Trade Jack Hershey Methods

I think I am going to make the move to quottraker, as it supports my Scottrade account for feeds. Are there ways toi customize QT for Hershey trading (like plugins?) if so, where do I get them? Thanks! JF

    Iterative Refinement

Ehorn, Thanks for the reminder. That's why I mentioned my bias, as I realize that was probably the primary reason for my mistake. When the bias becomes the context I am seeing things through it results in seeing things incorrectly. Thanks for that longer view. And another reminder of the...

    Iterative Refinement

    1) As far as the peak volume issue is concerned... you're right. It is clear. As I look through the history of WAB (or any stock, I suppose) in the Equities Chartscript 5.0, the rule is confirmed (as if there should be any doubt). One just has to look at bexp today to see what peak volume means...

    Iterative Refinement

Tums, Though I try to pay attention to volume, I am still working my way through channels in the futures journal. However, I have looked at the brief summary of Gaussians and can see how they work in a "perfect" channel, i.e. no flaws, and a perfect FTT, i.e. R2R and B2B situations...

    Iterative Refinement

Here's something that went wrong then right today. Attached is the daily chart for WAB. I had this marked down for a possible short because of the decreasing black volume. I thought it was an FBO and might renter the downward channel. I must admit a macro bear bias was also weighing in here...

    Iterative Refinement

Hey all, I am looking for some input on the attached daily chart for DDS. I sold this short yesterday for four reasons. 1) It was in DU 2) It reached volume early, and was negative. 3) It is in a downward channel. 4) It had declining black volume the three days before (June 17th is...

I'll probably move over to quotetracker then.... it's cheaper anyway. JF

    Iterative Refinement

I think its time to go to bed. The charts are starting to look fuzzy :). I think I am beginning to see some of my problems when examining channels. 1) A misunderstanding of inside bars. As I am reading through the futures journal, it seems that inside bars or short bars with decreased volume...

    Iterative Refinement

I am looking at the chart for BEXP. Am I wrong in seeing that it had been in a long upwards tape since about May 7th and formed a pt3 on May 15th? I am trying to figure out "what went right" beyond the decreasing red volume leading into DU, and then increasing black Volume. JF

    Iterative Refinement

I actually closed out of that today. 13 % ain't bad :) But I would like input as to whether my logic made sense. I saw that the volume seemed to have just made it into the "EXTREME" area. Barely, but it was there. In addition, the stock never made it back to its opening price. Am I wrong to...

    Iterative Refinement

Chuy, I think I see what might be up with CXO, and why the charting software coloring might be confusing you. Someone just corrected me about a volume bar I had colored red, when it was really colored black. The reason being that the bar, though it was lower overall, had made a higher high...

Software Used to Trade Jack Hershey Methods

Hello All, I was wondering if there was a way for me to change the color of the IBGS bars in qcharts. Right now they show up the wrong color, i.e. they will show up red even though they are above the previous bars close. JF

Here's one example in CAVM with the large channels drawn in. There are about 8 others which show a similar pattern. JF P.S. Spyder, If I misunderstood our conversaton, please accept my apologies :).

    Iterative Refinement

Hello all, I am halfway through doing my equities charts for tomorrow, and I have noticed something strangely consistent about several of them. They look like they are forming a pt3 on a downward channel... however they are doing so on DECREASING red. That seems to suggest to me, as Spyder...
