... but is it doable in reality ?

To get more concrete, the expected Nasdaq direction predicted based on Elliott Waves is, "A move up to 18,965 points, then down to below 18,000 points until the FED meeting on 09/18/2024". Takes place in one week. Quote from the analyst from the group, Daniel Kleinhappel. I've zero, really...

... but is it doable in reality ?

I've become member of a small group whose founder, an Austrian native, analyzes US indices based on Elliott Waves. I'm fresh and cannot judge of course the quality of the forecasts / their accuracy, but this I want to share with you : The expectation is that we'll see a drop slightly below...

How to find an edge ?

@Sekiyo , capital markets are very efficient, most private investors won't be able to find edges because none are to be found. Classical trendfollowing can be forgotten, because of the whipsaws. A better idea may be to work, if you can, in a good paying job and simply save into low cost index...

... but is it doable in reality ?

For complete newbies reading this thread for the first time, I already suggested looking into the tobaccos. Their share prices turned south in 2017, now I believe Philip Morris International will make a new high (it closed yesterday very close to it, 120 US$, ATH 123 US$). Altria has still...

... but is it doable in reality ?

This signal simply sucked ... I went into cash, and decided to go long in the NDX / Nasdaq 100 (no leverage) again. Cost me money because of having to re-enter at a higher price For the foreseeable future, no more market timing from me.

... but is it doable in reality ?

Despite my basic bullish thesis for the Nasdaq 100 / NDX remaining valid, VCATR has now given a "red signal", I've decided to go into cash. It may mean a higher entry point when the next bullish signal comes above 17,950 - but I feel better not being long as of now. The bullish signals worked...

... but is it doable in reality ?

Very nasty sell-off in the Nasdaq 100, but also quite a rebound. My thesis - which of course is totally open to debate / criticism - remains : A cagr of around 13.5% for the Nasdaq 100 means we can almost double until summer 2030. And I came to this cagr expectation by taking the "vomiting...

Of course, not everyone can "leap from bottom to top", @schizo . But there are some great videos on YouTube available that can help undergraduates perspective of at least landing an interview. @22:21 :

... but is it doable in reality ?

I think the "b" in billionaire thins the field. Of course I can't say with certainty, but I believe very few can claim to have become billionaires if they started with very little net worth. The classical business model of aggressively marketed (mutual) funds is of course fee income...

... but is it doable in reality ?

The first half figures are in for British American Tobacco (see page before in this thread), the market reacts very positively. Price now 2,633 pence . I stick to my expectation that the combination of share buybacks and positive development in the risk-reduced product segment will make the...

What Advice Would You Give to Beginner Day Traders?

Don't daytrade at all, the bid/ask spread alone is like a vacuum cleaner that'll require grotesque returns (depeding on your trading volume) just to breakeven. PLUS , more importantly, markets are so superefficient that often, shortterm price fluctuations are simply not predictable -> you can't...

... but is it doable in reality ?

I've found this on LinkedIn ... am active there too, this is from somebody I (unfortunately) don't know personally, but these are very wise words I want to share with readers of this thread. Kudos to the author, Jamie Ebersole, he's the founder of Ebersole Financial LLC. Quote Jamie, "It's...

... but is it doable in reality ?

I've done another calculation on the Nasdaq 100 / NDX, close on July 5th 2024 was 20,391 points. My base thoughtline is, the NDX reached, in october of 2002, its catharsislow of 790 points - the internet bubble had burst, the intraday high in 2000 was 4,750 . The index went "online" so to...
