Despite the shortcomings...I've had etrade, ameritrade, and pfg as brokers...I still think IB is still the best broker I've had. and NT...man, it's the best charting software...their customer service is fast, knowledgeable, and helpful. Can't say any bad stuff about them really.

PROBLEMS SOLVED It's just a case where the tws 918 is still not compatible with NT. Next time, I'll just follow the advice above...I'll upgrade when they knock on the door with a shotgun :)

Freaking crappp.... It seems the latest TWS is not compatible with the latest NT. Downgraded to previous TWS, it says NT is connected but no data streaming in. WTF? I've spent the morning in waste for this shit

Anyone having problems with IB data using third-vendor charting software? I'm using NinjaTrader and I can't get data before the current time. It seems like I have to start collecting data the moment I connect with IB. The problem is just limited to the current day though. IB charts work...

New day, 2hrs after forex "opens" and still IB has forex charting problems. This time they don't have the time limit when the problem will be fixed. Even for IB, this is so unlike them. Take a day off everyone.

Had a chat with one of IB's reps and he said the problem is with their forex server. It is known to them and currently being fixed.

Same here. Had to trade naked with IB chart. So, it seems like IB's problems then.

Can't seem to load current data from IB with Ninja today. What's going on?

I eventually upgraded to version 7 yesterday. It seems to load up faster than the older version. Since I'm a "naked" trader, don't really care about the analytics features. Great job ninja!!!

I doubt I do more than 500M every month...I like the fact that IB is based in US. If there are other firms that offers 10-15% better commission than IB, I still probably stick with IB. I'm looking for firms that can save me at least 20-25% commission compares to IB, holding the service...
