    Unless you have rock bottom commish and are dealing with very liquid equities/indicies it is so costly ...putting on a trade like that will garner you very little reward. OTOH if you build your trade...start by a simple buy of a put/call or spread and if the market goes your way then complete...

    I don't think there are many on this board or even in the markets thinking we will be trading over 1000 this summer. However no one knows, it will do what it wants and when you least expect it. SPX has gained (almost) 300 pts in just about 3 months so there is obviously a possibility of it...

    Its just really annoying when you call an option trade a "deal" ...a deal is a steal on a new pair of shoes, a BBQ, snowblower, there are NO... NO.... NO.... "deals" in OPTION TRADING...sheesh:confused: :mad:
